I sold a “Swiss 14k yellow gold” watch bracelet and buyer was kinda rushing me a bit and then asked to have the item shipped overnight as it was a gift for his father for Christmas. I consulted eBay and they recommend that I wait until the money goes into my personal bank account. Thoughts?

100% a scam. They ask for the overnight shipping to avoid detection. They use a reshipper as it goes overseas. They usually send a fake PayPal email or use a compromised account. The gift for a relative is just part of the scam (different address sometimes) hoping you will fall for it. Good catch! I've seen others ship a $1800 laptop and a $2400 diamond ring, only to wonder where their money was.

You've sold a Rolex for $3,650.00
scam item.
I don't like the sound of the buyer trying to rush you, raises a red flag for me.
Wait and see what other posters say...
definitely don't ship it at the moment.

My thought is transferring your funds to your bank acct wont save you from a snad complaint, and receiving back a broken Timex. You are a scam magnet selling expensive watches here. But since you've sold it, wait until your funds appear in Paypal with the ok to ship.Fyi, scammers often request immediate, overnight shipping.

You offer "One-day Shipping (FedEx Standard Overnight" on that listing so the buyer wanting that is not strange in itself.
Of course you want the money paid before shipping. Did they pay? Still, that doesn't protect you against scammers as there are many tricks they can pull. Personally, I wouldn't sell anything expensive like that but locally; maybe to a jeweler or local listing, that's about the only way to have cash in hand and not have a not as described case later or charge-back on a credit card, etc.
Since you are in managed payments, there is no way the cash would be in your bank account that fast anyway. (overnight)
good luck

Well my funds are available now and go straight into my bank account tomorrow. No pay pal. So I guess my question is should I wait till they’re in my bank account it go ahead and ship?

I only did that because he requested it so I made a new listing.

Hold the phone... your funds will NOT be going straight into your bank account tomorrow. Nor will they ever go to PayPal once you're in MP... but I digress.
You have what's within your Handling Time to ship it. If you've promised Overnight... you're kind of stuck. Just make sure that the payment is showing as Pending (under your Payments tab).. before shipping at all.
Then sit back and wait for the other shoe to drop. Good luck.

It's only the band - not the watch.
And the OP is in MP, not using PayPal.

How did you verify that, considering it was just sold yesterday evening?
No way is that going to happen in MP, a new seller, and a high dollar/high scam item?
