So annoying. Again and again after every third search. This is how they pester us for using the Chrome Browser instead of Firefox 115 which no longer works adequately since 10-13-25.

Actually, I can't get into the site at all with Chrome anymore and only use Firefox and I get them every day 20x a day too. I don't get them on my tablet but I don't want to look at a 5" screen all day to do listings.
VERY ANNOYING!!!

This is actually my favourite captcha - it's really a pleasant exercise in visual absurdity.

Linux Mint with Chrome here, no such issue.

Really? What OS are you using? What exactly happens when you try to log in?

Your problem is 100 percent Windows 7, when the website sees a strange browser version and an operating system no longer used it assumes that you are likely some sort of web robot.
You can get a refurb computer at Microcenter with current Windows for $100.

the problem is cookies or cookies being blocked or deleted, possibly by an antivirus program or a setting in the browser, it's not the os.
I use chrome. edge, firefox. the last time I had one of those pop up was like 2 years ago

Here is what AI states, as I have the same issue and cannot not find a happy medium. I have a top rated setup completely up to date.
If your IP address is flagged as “higher risk,” eBay will force CAPTCHA.
This happens when:
Your ISP uses shared or rotating IPs (very common with cable internet)
You’ve been assigned an IP previously used by:
Bots
Scrapers
VPN users
Your IP changes frequently
Even if you did nothing wrong, you inherit the reputation of that IP.
You do things normal users don’t:
Rapid listing edits
Bulk relists
Repeated page refreshes
Opening multiple listing tabs
Seller Hub + Messages + Listings open at once
To eBay’s systems, that looks like automation, even though it’s you working.
eBay tracks more than cookies:
Browser version
Extensions
Screen size
OS + GPU combo
Time zone
CAPTCHA triggers when:
You clear cookies frequently
Switch browsers
Use private/incognito mode
Have aggressive ad-blockers or privacy extensions
Even if you’re not intentionally using one:
Some antivirus suites enable secure browsing / traffic tunneling
Some routers use dynamic routing or DNS filtering
iCloud Private Relay (Apple devices)
Google Secure DNS
Any of these = CAPTCHA magnet.
CAPTCHA often appears when:
You stay logged in too long
eBay detects multiple simultaneous sessions
Login cookies partially expire
You’re:
A high-volume seller
Logged in for long stretches
Actively editing listings
Moving fast
eBay tunes their security for buyers, not sellers doing real work.
Just a tidbit of info for people going through the same. I only use Chrome, win 11 for Ebay. one computer at home and one in the warehouse. I do have an iPad that is used for inventory which the only thing I come across with the IPad is we want to make sure it is you and spins for days! But I to come across the captcha all the time. I use to get frustrated now it's just another process.

Re: please verify yourself ,pick all the creatures ......
Let's hope eBay may make efforts to address this issue & become more user friendly

I think the best solution is to get rid of Windows completely.

I get these too once in awhile. Sometimes I get asked to put in my password also.

Wow I hardly get CAPTCHA’ed and I always do these:
Opening multiple listing tabs (I always like to compare listings side by side)
Seller Hub + Messages + Listings open at once (I even never close the tabs from my computer until I’m forced to update windows)
Use private/incognito mode (some of my accounts I log in exclusively in private mode)
You stay logged in too long (As mentioned, I never even log out and leave my browser and computer on 24/7)
