Does everyone realize they are going to charge 25 cents per item in any given transaction. For example if a buyer buys 10 different packs of seeds from me and checkouts with one payment in one transaction paypal charges me 2.9% plus 30 cents period!. If you use ebay managed payment for that same transaction ebay charges you 2.7% and 25 cents for each item so in other words 25 cents times 10 items whereas paypal only charges 30 cents one time no matter how many items are in a single transaction. That is outrageous. On a $1 item they are taking 1/4 of my items price just on the fee so with paypal that would cost me 59 cents for the fees just for the payment, Ebay would charge me $2.79 just for the fees on the payment of 10.00 in sales that had 10 items in it. That does not even include the 9.15% fee they will charge for the regular fees which would be 91 cents more. Are they nuts? That is facts people. You better read very carefully before you switch to it and when ebay makes it mandatory i will be leaving ebay for good. Ebay you have become nothing more than greedy thieves. Again those are the facts people. If you sell cheap small items it will destroy your business or you will have to raise your prices even higher and why would people want to pay even higher on ebay when they can get the same item from the same seller who are on better marketplaces with cheaper prices. Ebay this is the last nail in your coffin. Whoever is leading you with these new policies they are going to put you right out of business as other marketplaces are already putting a hurting on you. Ebay you better wise up. No way you will ever get 25 cents per item on a single transaction from me with multiple items in it that should be only one fee as it is one transaction. You want us to give good combined shipping prices to buyers and then your going to try and pull this nonsense. Not with my business you will not.

I don't know why you directed that to me. Your discussion on this subject was with GoodLuckSelling.

So the Chinese junk sellers are ok, how nice!
Just starting to put everything into multi-listings and also continuing to move stuff off site.
That is temporary. When MP goes site wide, ALL sellers will be using MP.
The change to managed payments is not just site wide? It is world wide including all eBay sites across the globe. I would suggest by 2021 when eBay says all sellers worldwide will be in managed payments .
eBay will by that time already developed there own payment processor and not using ayden any longer? They are only using Ayden now because of the agreement with PayPal, which prevents them from starting there own payment processor at this time.

An interesting point. I had not considered that Adyen may be a temporary measure.

All sellers did not qualify for inclusion. There are a few issues that prevent this from happening..
Some sellers use specific features that are not supported in MP, so eBay is not using those selling during the beta testing which is still going on and will until 2021 when all sellers worldwide are opted into MP.
EBay agreement with PayPal limits payment activity to specific percentages of payments outside of paypal they can not surpass until the separation agreement has expired.

MP is NOT global yet. It will be one day, just not at this time. MP is also NOT site wide for sellers. I see now I should have qualified that. My bad. One day it will be but for now it is not.
MP does not currently support GSP, but will in the future.
International buyer can purchase from seller's using MP, the seller just can't ship through GSP, they will have to do the shipping on their own.
Well now that is something I haven't heard. Where and when did Ebay say they will be dumping Adyen, I missed reading that and would like to update myself.

EBay thinks and reacts many years ahead and perhaps this is why you are not thinking in this arena?
Why would any logical thinking person think that as soon as eBay can create there own payment processor that they would not? eBay is using ayden because of the separation agreement with PayPal which you have correctly expressed several times in this thread.
Many regular users here in the forum and you may or may not be one of them, often spout out with distaste that eBay is always trying to squeeze out every ounce of every nickel being spent, yet based on the quarterly reports eBay operates on basically 10% profit margins. Can you operate on 10% profit margin?
EBay has fees associated with allowing Ayden to process payment a for them. The eBay payments terms of use actually talks about this and you can understand this if you put your personal opinions aside and really understand what the are saying.
EBay is using Auden right now to learn and perfect the payment processing business on the eBay platform and you and others should applaud them for doing this far in advance of the eventual change.

Ebay has fees associated with allowing paypal to process a payment. Others have stated that etsy, which uses Adyen, does not charge a per item fee.
I'll give you credit for one (only one, good luck, only one, lol) thing: It had never occurred to me that Adyen could be a temporary processor and that ebay would take over. Without really thinking it through, I wonder if ebay wants to tackle that and various multiple regulations and laws. Although, ebay should have more expertise than other sites because ebay did own paypal for a while. And, ebay would get to keep all of the fees.
I'm wandering around on this idea; I'll ponder it when I have time (maybe). I know I'm gone when I'm slicked into MP with Adyen handling the payments; you can multiply my decision to exit times infinity if ebay alone is handling payments.

With every change ebay makes a sellers sees less in their pocket, when they're the one doing all the work! The nickel and diming never ends.
As has been explain on many threads on this subject. Ebay could NOT do that. Not only because the program just wasn't ready for that many sellers or that it doesn't currently support GSP. But mostly because Ebay is still under contract with PP and have only certain percentages of sales that can be handled outside of the PP platform. The contract with PP is over in 2021.
The solution would have been for ebay not to enlist managed payments until they could offer it to all with the SAME terms OR simply not change the terms for those who aren't given the opportunity to enroll early. This would level the playing field making it fair for ALL. Of course, ebay doesn't believe in level playing fields. We all know that.

How do you know that etsy does not achieve fees for using ayden as a payment processor?
There are real benefits for a marketplace to handle all actions in house when the volumn is huge like eBay has, and especially when the stock holder demand more profits.
You do not know nor do I know that eBay might be absorbing those fees where eBay is charging those fees and intend to refund (which I have received) when it is possible.

Using ebay's new managed payment system, is there a way to download a spreadsheet with per transaction sale price, fees paid, shipping cost etc.?
How will this stuff post to our bank records? Will it note sale price, managed payment transaction fee, and shipping cost each on a separate line or column?
I'm not familiar with Adyen. Why would I need to use Adyen when I conduct business solely on ebay? Also, it looks like Adyen provides the same service as ebay's new managed payments or dealing with Paypal directly.

Really not happy with managed payments. I do a lot of combined orders, just did some math, the new fees will cost me just over $13.00 a day. That's over $4700.00 a year. There is not a reason in the world that justifies that.

With all due respect, probably because PayPal and ebay have gone their separate ways - with the Ichan caused split a few years ago - and Adyen has been contracted to handle ebay payments for ALL sellers. Adyen is making enough off the deal that it has been reported that ebay will be looking at obtaining up to 5% of stock in Adyen - according to conditions of participation by sellers being met at particular time intervals.
