Does everyone realize they are going to charge 25 cents per item in any given transaction. For example if a buyer buys 10 different packs of seeds from me and checkouts with one payment in one transaction paypal charges me 2.9% plus 30 cents period!. If you use ebay managed payment for that same transaction ebay charges you 2.7% and 25 cents for each item so in other words 25 cents times 10 items whereas paypal only charges 30 cents one time no matter how many items are in a single transaction. That is outrageous. On a $1 item they are taking 1/4 of my items price just on the fee so with paypal that would cost me 59 cents for the fees just for the payment, Ebay would charge me $2.79 just for the fees on the payment of 10.00 in sales that had 10 items in it. That does not even include the 9.15% fee they will charge for the regular fees which would be 91 cents more. Are they nuts? That is facts people. You better read very carefully before you switch to it and when ebay makes it mandatory i will be leaving ebay for good. Ebay you have become nothing more than greedy thieves. Again those are the facts people. If you sell cheap small items it will destroy your business or you will have to raise your prices even higher and why would people want to pay even higher on ebay when they can get the same item from the same seller who are on better marketplaces with cheaper prices. Ebay this is the last nail in your coffin. Whoever is leading you with these new policies they are going to put you right out of business as other marketplaces are already putting a hurting on you. Ebay you better wise up. No way you will ever get 25 cents per item on a single transaction from me with multiple items in it that should be only one fee as it is one transaction. You want us to give good combined shipping prices to buyers and then your going to try and pull this nonsense. Not with my business you will not.

You read my mind.

I might just add that it is highly unlikely that this unusual fee is NOT something that Ebay is being charged by Adyen. If this were to be some kind of fee that Adyen was charging Ebay, then one would logically think it would be something they charge to other similar sites. Yet Etsy uses Adyen and there is no such 25 cent fee on the Etsy site.
So that leads me to the conclusion that it is ALL ABOUT EBAY and just a way to impose a fee hike. One would think that Ebay would realize this is something that will further erode their working relationship with sellers. Ebay has told us many times that MP will be less expensive for sellers than the current PP driven system. Apparently they failed to share that they only intended that to apply to some sellers and not all. For many smaller sellers the fees will actually increase significantly.
A couple important points
#1 shows two events need to happen in order for the seller to get credited back processing fees. Refunds need to be done through a request details page and eBay (we) needs to be reimbursed for there (eBay) costs (which implies eBay has costs beyond the processing fees a seller is charged).
#2 is just like Paypal per transaction fee (0.30)
Does Etsy have the ability to credit back processing fees for refunds?
Good Luck Selling!

I believe a lot of people are misinterpreting the "grandfathered in" clause. I took a screenshot of our invite. Here you go:
"Grandfathered in" only applies until October. Then it's the same fees as everyone else.
See post #18
I don't think #18 is relevant, as the invite I took the screenshot from was sent to us by a Sr Manager during the time frame that the fee was still being waived.

It might not be relevant to you because you are probably not opted into MP before June 4th. My selling account was and is still using MP so the second part in post #18 does apply to us. Also read post # 21 which is also about this same subject.
The language in the eBay payments terms of use click here
Specifically separates terms for sellers opted in before June 4th and sellers opted in on or after June 4th.
How long this will last is unknown?

- To qualify for a payments processing fee credit, you must refund a buyer in resolution of a refund, return or cancellation request regarding the transaction that was the subject of the payments processing fee, and we need to receive reimbursement for the costs we incurred in connection with the processing of the initial transaction payment.
- per listing payments fees are non-refundable

That is different than what was being discussed. PP doesn't refund transaction fees, it is unlikely that Ebay will be even when full refunds are given to a buyer.
As for Etsy, they have a 25 cent transaction fee no matter how many items are purchased and a 3% processing fee for US sellers.
But again, that wasn't what we were discussing. We were discussing the PER item transaction fee for each different listing the buyer may purchase from and pay for in a single payment. I stand by what I said earlier. I am not aware of ANY site that does this other than Ebay. And clearly Adyen doesn't require it because Etsy uses Adyen and Etsy does not charge any such fee. I can sell from 30 different listings on Etsy and my payment transaction fee will remain 25 cents + the processing fee. In Ebay that would be $7.50 + the processing fee.

This is just for US sellers, wow, how lovely!
So the Chinese junk sellers are ok, how nice!
Just starting to put everything into multi-listings and also continuing to move stuff off site.

That is temporary. When MP goes site wide, ALL sellers will be using MP.

With every change ebay makes a sellers sees less in their pocket, when they're the one doing all the work! The nickel and diming never ends.
As has been explain on many threads on this subject. Ebay could NOT do that. Not only because the program just wasn't ready for that many sellers or that it doesn't currently support GSP. But mostly because Ebay is still under contract with PP and have only certain percentages of sales that can be handled outside of the PP platform. The contract with PP is over in 2021.

I would accept that with caution, as I believe we aren't allowed to post specific messages from eBay staff on the forum. The screenshot of the sign up page was referred to us for example.
But I have emails from a Sr Manager giving conflicting information with what is stated there as well. EMailed to us on June 24th, recommending that we sign up by July 1st because if we do so, we will avoid the $0.25 fee. Where I was also provided sign ups that showed the image I linked earlier.
As I mentioned, use caution.

I think you are confusing that rule with the one on posting messages from thread moderators. You are fine to post a message from Ebay or a CSR. Just black out any identifying info that should not be shared. IE: Buyer IDs, transaction numbers, etc.

Thank you.
Okay, in that case...
This does not seem to correlate with the terms or the onboarding page. And this is not a generic CSR, he's an eBay employee with a Sr position.
So again, I would proceed with caution!

I brought up the 2021 date in 2018 and I was met with a barage of emails saying I was completely wrong. (Blues included) Thank you at least for validation months after the fact Mam!
Bottom line....more sellets get it in the end again. Ebay wasn't ready. How unlikely? I guess it will depend on how many US sellers are left.

I have no idea why you met with such resistance. I had thought you had been on threads with me on this subject before, but I could be mistaken. I've said this stuff many times over the past year and I've never had a Blue correct me at all or say they weren't aware of the contract between Ebay and PP.
I have no idea why your experience was different or on what threads that happened to you on. Our experience are certainly not remotely alike.
