Did you mean:

On my last nerve

Third time a winning bidder has asked to cancel on the same item because they don’t read the TITLE.  On the third time listing I put no cancelations and within a minute of winning, asks for a cancelation.  I refuse and eBay won’t do anything other than put a note on the account when the unpaid case ends.

We have no power as sellers, we can’t even leave negative feedback.  I’m so close to being done with eBay but what other choice is there?  Just so frustrated.

Re: On my last nerve

You may want to put "BOX ONLY" at the beginning of the item title instead of at the very end, where it is likely to get cut off for mobile users.

Yes, users should read the entire description before bidding, but some will not, particularly if they find the item just as the auction is ending. You should make every attempt to avoid such a misunderstanding for you own sake if not for the sake of your potential customers.

Re: On my last nerve

What is the item and what was the title?

Re: On my last nerve

Is it the BOX ONLY that sold for $94?  Your item specifics are showing it  as "new" unopened.....

Re: On my last nerve

It is.  I didn’t even see that the auto full part had unopened until after listing.  But also why I put in both title and description that it was just the box just to make sure in case I did miss something like this.

Re: On my last nerve

Ah, thanks for posting that picture.  It helps to understand a little better. Both online and my phone app don’t cut it off like that.  At least I can partially understand.

I put it up originally just because I knew it was coming damages for a lot of collectors.  I didn’t think it would even get the $20 I listed it at.  But it went for $64, $62, and now $94.  At this point it’s more frustrating than it was worth.

and I think this more just culminates my feelings toward selling here lately.  More and more scams and **bleep**ty buyers.  Lucky I had an unauthorized buyer purchase message but it was after they already paid and I shipped so at least I avoided one issue

Re: On my last nerve

You are welcome -- until I actually did the search on my phone I really thought that the titles would make it more obvious when things are being cut off, but in this case it really is very easy to miss the little "..." at the end.

Good luck with your listings.

@csabres

If your just trying to sell an empty box, do away with the item specifics and don't list it as new.

Re: On my last nerve

It seems pretty clear from your experience that it's not a good idea to try to sell empty boxes.

For some reason, buyers just don't want them. It would probably be a good business move to find something else to sell, something that buyers actually want to buy.

Re: On my last nerve

The whole cancellation process of cancellation, refunding the buyer, getting back your FVF, and relisting takes less than two minutes. Or would you rather deal with a bogus INAD after ticking off the buyer?

Re: On my last nerve

The big mistake you've made is listing it as 'new'. An empty box can not, by factual description, truly be 'new'. it's been opened and manipulated. In fact I've never heard any category of item have solo boxes labeled as new. "mint' or 'like new' is what you mean, and even then you have to be clear and put it in the correct category (I assume there is such thing as action figure boxes/case category that would be more suitable).

If the buyer attempts to complain to Ebay you will probably lose because they will simply say "the seller listed it as brand new under the action figure category". And, trust me, Ebay is very OCD about using the right category. There likely is a case/box only category for toys.
