I just get blank boxes with little magnifying glasses with plus signs in them. I can't do a good visual search that way. No way I'm clicking each photo one by one. Is this an ebay thing or is it my settings? Anyone else getting this?

I don't mean the photos for my listings. I mean ALL the thumbnail photos that should come up when I'm doing a search for other listings. Before I list an item, I need to see what the same item might be listed for and many times it's part of my research of what an item actually is called. Right now I see only blank boxes when I do a search.

I'm not seeing ghost images, just blank images with little links that say "click here to see image" or something like that. The strange thing is that just now I checked and only Sponsored listing are showing thumbnails in search. I can take a hint. Ebay wants us amateurs to go away. If I can't check listed and sold items as part of my listing research, I'm dead in the water as a seller. Just wondering who else can't see any photos when they search for something. They sure won't be buying much. No sales, no revenue for me or ebay.

They are showing up for me. Are you using a customized view?

Try clearing cache & cookies in your browser.

It's probably another stupid ebay test, they've already tested hiding feedback, hiding descriptions, and hiding item specifics, why not pictures?
Just kidding, even ebay couldn't be that clueless,..or could they?

Cleared cache, cookies, ran malware scan, restarted computer, no custom view. No photos in search of any kind. They are showing up on the My Ebay pages (on my selling account- this ID has no items listed) but no photos when I click on show items for sale. Several of my listings are coming close to the end of their listing duration but have had no new views in several days. Sales are lean this time of year but I still get some views on the more popular items.

For some reason this does not surprise. 10 years ago when Ebay fully embraced the Chinese, and wanted all new goods. They introduced Ebay Express and everyone's pictures disappeared. As Yogi said, It's deja vu all over again.

They're all showing up just fine for me on both my computer and phone.

Something weird is afoot. I was trying to get a screenshot of a search page when I noticed a bazillion lines of code at the bottom of the page. The code seems ebay related but I'm not a programmer. (oh, how I wish you were here Mike) Maybe that means that eb is working on this. I can't be the only one.

UPDATE- I just hate it when an OP asks for help with a problem then never comes back to let the board know how things turned out. I think my problem has been resolved. eb customer service (Vincent) went out of his comfort zone to help me pinpoint the problem. Turned out it was my browser (Mozilla Firefox) I had to update Mozilla Firefox. DUH!! I'm techno lame so it took a few tries but it looks like that did the trick. Photos are showing now. Updates will now be automatic. Thanks for your time and help.
