No longer possible to open unpaid item cases?

It seems it' s no longer possible to open cases for unpaid items, the links are gone in both seller hub and on the individual items. This is just the next glitch in ebay...

Just to list them up again:

very difficult to access the list of items awaiting payment

not possible to make invoices if a buyer has more than 40 items

invoicing became a nightmare with the new system

can't use firefox any longer

many buyers can't make payment

ebay is so slow, it's ridiculous

We have between 5 and 6000 listings per week, small changes have huge effects on us. I can complain about ebay for small things but I have never known ebay to be so disfunctional as now, it is really sickening and if this continous I will have to hire an additional worker just to be able to cope with the glitches of their system.  However, they had no problem charging me over 7000$ in fees this month, that seems to be about the only thing working at the moment.

Not talking about that. Can you show documented proof of any user who has been NARU'd for excessive UPI strikes?

Re: No longer possible to open unpaid item cases?

My God this is a dumb move. I've had buyers pay after opening the unpaid item case! Now I can't do that. Reduce sales by getting rid of this feature? Genius, ebay! Genius!

Re: No longer possible to open unpaid item cases?

It's been a long time since I have heard or read about a NPB going NARU

Years ago,   4 NPBs and they were gone.    Not too sure about now.     If sellers use the capacity to block

buyers with NPBs within a certain time frame,   that can put these sport bidders in a situation where they can't do as much harm.

Ebay gives us some tools more sellers need to take advantage of.

USed to be when we could give an NPB a neg,  of they dropped below 98% they might get narued too.

Just because they "Told Us'" doesn't mean it's not a yet another example of eBay taking away another tool that we used with great success for more than 20 years now.

Re: No longer possible to open unpaid item cases?

Why would we want a useful way to prompt the buyer to pay taken away?  What would be the "Positive" side of that?   We don't want the item canceled, we want payment.

Re: No longer possible to open unpaid item cases?

My exact thoughts. I don’t think they ever really did anything to them. Just like you can’t leave negative feedback for people that do these things. eBay just doesn’t play fair.
‘They are totally wrong for many things like charging fees on shipping cost, and having to pay now a percentage to get more exposure when I thought that’s what we were already doing by paying to list items and store fees with them and then you can pay even more now and still not get much exposure and no sales.

Not to mention about returns when nothing is wrong with the item and eBay always siding with buyers and yet they tend to forget if they didn’t have sellers they wouldn’t have any dang precious buyers.
It’s just all rigged for eBay to make their millions and we’re just nothing to them.

Re: No longer possible to open unpaid item cases?

The problem is, that a lot of the time, that email that came from regarding that a case was open, half the time, led to them paying for the item. Now they don't get that kind of email. I can only put "immediate pay" on fixed listings. I would have to say 1/4 of my auction listings, don't ever pay.

I believe that eBay never gives out what disciplinary action is taken against any member citing privacy reasons.

@historicroswell

eBay still send out a reminder email to pay.

Tip
You don't have to contact the buyer if they haven't paid – we'll send them reminders to pay. If they don't pay after 4 calendar days, you can cancel the order.

Re: No longer possible to open unpaid item cases?

The Unpaid Item Strike option is now only a CANCELLATION option in the Seller side of the Resolution Center. It is filed 4 days after the listing ends. You can have eBay send it automatically  or do it yourself.

You don't leave a warning, 2 days after the win. Now eBay does that immediately.

You don't file the "buyer didn't pay" after waiting an additional 4 days.

So it's a Cancellation option and takes only 4 days as the minimum rather than 6 days minimum.

We have no access to that information.

Re: No longer possible to open unpaid item cases?

Actually, if you are referring to non-paying bidders, eBay has made it easier since they cancel and refund your final value fees when previously the seller had to open a case and then follow through four days later.

Re: No longer possible to open unpaid item cases?

I just discovered this myself (eBay doing away with Unpaid Case process) when eBay automatically cancelled an order (auction win) for a customer who was bidding on other items and wanted to combine shipping, which I allow within 7 days.     I don't even recall eBay sending out a notice to Sellers that they were eliminating Unpaid Case.    I loved Unpaid Case!!!     Almost all of my late paying customers would pay when they were told an Unpaid Case might be opened against their account.   I have kept good repeat customers that way.   Now I understand eBay automatically issues a cancellation if an order is not paid within 4 days?!?   My buyers think they have 7 days to bid on other auctions and combine shipping.  If eBay cancels an order after 4 days and my customer still wants it, can I still sell it to them?     Or does my posting go away completely, and I need to retake pictures, and do a completely new post?    This is a huge impact to me and several of my friends who sell daily on ebay using the auction process.
