With internet sales, some days you sell like your items are the hottest items on the planet and some days all you get are crickets. It is, what it is.

We have 4 people selling items for our railroad museum. Sales are down for the last 6-8 weeks. What is concerning is that views are way down (more than 30%). Hard to sell if no one is looking.

42 MILLION people are going without SNAP (food stamp) bennies since Nov 1, thousands of military and federal workers are working unpaid, while many thousands more are on unpaid leave.
They're not looking to spend any more than they absolutely have to right now.

There can be so many factors.
Looking through your inventory, I don't think your prices are unreasonable.
How have sales been for you previous to the last 9 days?

Most buyers on eBay do not work for the federal government and likely do not receive SNAP. People never stop buying and they haven't now. It really just comes down to having items people want at a reasonable cost. I realize the world around us can be a convenient excuse, but it isn't one we should accept IMHO.
@1209petra I think you have quite a number of titles that can be improved. Use as many of the characters as you can. That one extra key word may bring in the person who is going to buy your item. If you have trouble using all the characters, this is one area where AI can be very useful. Plug in the title you have to your favorite AI (I use ChatGPT) and ask it to improve it for SEO on eBay. Just make sure the words it uses are relevant. Almost all of your titles have a period at the end. That is a completely wasted character and looks sloppy. It does not help you rank higher, which is the goal.

Be optimistic, for the holiday internet buying frenzy will soon arrive. Good luck

Seems that a whole lot of people aren't getting paid or in receipt of assistance maybe some folks are still working but not being paid. Maybe your stuff isn't in the--"necessity" category. Halloween spend is over,, people getting ready for Thanksgiving , then Christmas,- travel to MeMaw's and PaPa house or else where etc. Many people have to pony up property taxes, home insurance via the end of the year,(glad mine are in an escrow) account etc.etc.

I sometimes go days without a sale.
It's all about demand.
If people want your stuff, they will buy n it.

I agree that most buyers on eBay do not work for the federal government, and I agree that most buyers on eBay do not receive SNAP benefits.
But millions and millions of them are buyers on eBay, and if something takes them off the site there is not corresponding supply of new buyers taking their place.

@1209petra my advice is to not depend on the income from your eBay sales and if that is what u r doing, maybe consider getting a job that pays u on a regular basis so that eBay sales would just be fluff income.
you've been complaining about slow sales on this forum since June 2018

Seems like you can just reread all the other replies from your other posts for answers.

I'm 74 and retired. Not looking for a job. Thank-you for the suggestion.
