New listing format.

I used the new listing format for the first time today after reading all the complaints about it on the boards.
Sure it takes a little getting used to, but it's not THAT bad.
Nobody hates change more than me. If I can learn to use it, anybody can.

Re: New listing format.

Compared to a couple years ago when they first released it to now, it's a piece of cake to use now.

Have a great day.

No kidding - I used the beta version - ughhhhh...

And no, the new listing form is not affecting sales.

Re: New listing format.

Yes, the thousands of dollars lost for me while in the beta testing "blackout", then the roll out with the constant tool issues, DOESN'T work,  all for the glee of web designers who never sold a day on ebay in their life, was just soooo worth it!  Just for a NEW LOOK, how about that!  Can't wait for the next beta blackout.  Coming soon as usual.

Re: New listing format.

As I have stated before, just took a little getting used to. No problems here with the new tool.

What is a 'beta black out'? Never seen or heard of such a thing.

Re: New listing format.

Considering the "old" tool was only a couple of years old, and that this change has ZERO bearing on what anyone sees but sellers.  The sellers never asked for this.  If they did, they are not a seller.  No seller in their right mind would ask for the whole listing tool to change it's looks.  For they know the consequences of this.  The site glitches and fallbacks of never ending problems that will drag on and on.

I am sure there will always be people here who never seem to have "any" problems, or lost revenue from these constant overhauls for the "look".   It took them 2 months to do this change, and they are delaying doing everyone at once, we know why that is, for this is the people they are testing on first.   They had to code us first, funny how for the last month or so we are the very people who's sales just magically dried up while being tested on...no issue's for you though!  That is so wonderful!

The entire 'change' in the selling templates were driven by 2 things 1.) How 'search engines' (Google) interprets and shows things and 2.) How things are shown on Phones.

Has nothing to do with 'the site wanting to change things for no reason'.

Re: New listing format.

What you said has actually zero bearing on an entire listing tool look change.  If your trying to keep up with latest google updates in your system, that is coding in the background, there are plenty of other browsers as well, there is no need to overhaul a new look.  Same with the phones.

What do you mean it took them 2 months?

Some of has been using the new tool for almost 2 years now.

It's just been recently they started switching everyone else over.

Have a great day.

Re: New listing format.

As long as I am selling several listings that are very similar, I breeze right though with photo change & minor description editing.

@chapeau-noir   Yeah, all the multiple negative posts on this subject aren't enough for some.
