New listing format

Is eBay kidding with this new listing tool. Takes three to four times as long. Why is a under 14 ounce USPS 1st class mail now charging customers $8.10 shipping charges? Should I go on. Seven calls to eBay and the reps agree with you and no corrections in site. Anybody out there with listings on Amazon. I am thinking of moving my 11,000 plus lists to them.

Re: New listing format

I'm going to catch food from this, but takes me no longer then 1 min to create listing on new tool...same with any of them they have had. The layout is crud, templates don't fully work with the past 2 or 3 new tools but I got used to it pretty quick. Mine however isn't saving drafts, I hit save and they vanish...heard some don't have that issue...so idk there.

The great truth is there isn't one
And it only gets worse since that conclusion...

Re: New listing format

No it sucks...   But eBay does its own thing without ever thinking of the big picture

Ok this new format may be great for people selling simple items like house hold or clothing items...

But for people who are selling more complex items such as parts IT IS A HUGE MISTAKE.
Parts and such have multiple part numbers associated with the part as well as dozens of fitment options etc.

It took me an hour for one posting - I am sure I will get faster, but I see me spending 20-30 minutes for a single posting even if I get faster.  i have hundreds of items to post.  I can not afford to spend the better part of a full day posting a few items.

SO I agree - it sucks for many, many ebay sellers.  I surefire way to shoot many sellers and ebay itself in the foot.

eBay should have both formats available for listing so that sellers can use the one most efficient for their posting style and needs.

Re: New listing format

I agree with you.  It took me hours to list 2 items that normally took only a few minutes.  Wow!  Not to mention my blood pressure is sky high!!!

I have beens selling for almost 20 years and feel like a beginner!

Re: New listing format

Change is just annoying. Simply put.  The reordered template flow is causing me to make some stupid errors.

This is different, not any better or worse really,  I seem to work about the same speed.

I still find the shipping to be confusing, it should all be done in one place, not 3 or 4.

@eBay

OK, y’all, this is the tenth complaint about this new listing tool, and counting. This is why I’ve all but stopped using eBay,  along with many others. Oh, and the AI search engine has seVERE learning problems.
So much for trying to beat Amazon.

I sell parts as well, but not car parts.

Listing now with the new tool is the same time frame as the old tool. It just took time getting use to where everthing is that I use when I list.  Maybe used it for 25 listings so far. Not a big deal to me. I am not losing drafts or anything like that.  Looks like smooth sailing from here on out.

If I was not going to the state fair tomorrow to consume all kinds of delicious fried foods and assorted beverages all afternoon, I would be in my office becoming As One, with the beloved,  new listing tool.
