Is eBay kidding with this new listing tool. Takes three to four times as long. Why is a under 14 ounce USPS 1st class mail now charging customers $8.10 shipping charges? Should I go on. Seven calls to eBay and the reps agree with you and no corrections in site. Anybody out there with listings on Amazon. I am thinking of moving my 11,000 plus lists to them.

The phone reps work for a sub-contractor, not for eBay. They have no authority.
Use one of the social media Chats. Those are manned by actual trained employees.

https://community.ebay.com/t5/Selling/How-do-I-contact-Customer-Support/m-p/32016431#M1783851 -> Automated Assistant, type AGENT -> enter. You will then get more options.
There have been some workarounds reported.
My own has been to go to an older listing, hit Revise, scroll to the bottom and make the (not really revised) listing into a Template.
I already have a half dozen to fit various categories I sell in.
We should not have to have workarounds for this Terrible Horrible No Good Very Bad form.

What did you think Customer Service was going to do? Change the listing form for you? Seven calls? One call was a waste of time.

I suggest you to get back the old listing.
if you want to get back the old listing page, go to the following link:

I clicked on the link you provided. It actually took me back to the old listing tool. What the hell?

They're showing you the range of Shipping costs that your buyers will see, based on their distance from you, from Zone 1 (closest) to Zone 9. If you are adding a Handling charge, I assume that is factored in as well.
If you're looking at your own listings, you will see the Shipping charge to your own address, which would be the lowest; buyers further away may see a higher charge.

It shouldn't be showing $8 for First Class mail; the maximum online postage cost for First Class packages is $6.28 (for 15.99 ounces to Zone 8 or 9). If it was inflated due to a handling charge the OP wouldn't be so mystified.

It's fantastic. Thank you. I haven't been able to get back to the original form in over two months. Time to start listing tonight. Hope the link works for a while. Thanks, again.

It will show $8 if they have elected to charge buyers the retail rate. There is no over the counter retail rate for First Class mail for packages over 13 oz, so buyers will be charged the Priority rate for that weight instead.

That's true, but the OP specifically stated, "Why is a under 14 ounce USPS 1st class mail now charging customers $8.10..."
Hmmm, I just checked and there's not even a RETAIL rate of $8.10; the top price (13 oz to Zone 8 or 9) is $7.65. Perhaps the eBay gremlins inserted a handling fee.

Let me get this straight --you were switched to the new tool with NO ability to switch back to Classic (no 3 dots on the top right of the screen, or they were there but no longer offered the switch-back option), correct?
If so, I can't even imagine what kind of black magic it took to find (create?) a link that s/he can post anywhere, enabling any seller to click it and BAM be on a Classic listing page, ready to rock, for one's OWN account. What the hell indeed!
I still have the ability to switch back and forth, but I'm going to figure out a way to remember which post I saw this miracle link in, for when the day comes that I'm forcefully switched. I don't know how long the link will work, like maybe they'll kill it somehow after EVERYONE is switched over, but I will dang sure use it when I have to, for as long as it DOES work.
By the way, have you tried logging out of your account and logging back in, to see if you are still on Classic, or if you have to come find this link again?

You can bookmark the thread in your browser, with a note about the post #.
Did you know that you can create a link to a specific post within a thread? Click on the number at the bottom of the post where is says "Message x of y". In this case, click on "4" in Message 4 of 13 (until I post 😉 ).

😮
Actually I did know about bookmarking; it's the "note" part that I often struggle with, like what makes sense to me now might not 3 months from now, plus I have a stupid number of bookmarks, really need to do some housekeeping, ha.
But the message number thing. It doesn't even look like a hyperlink, not blue or underlined!
SORCERERS up in here!
