My new item not showing up anywhere on the site?

I listed a new item for sale about 5 hours ago now. The only way I can view it is by accessing the URL  for the item directly. If I try to search for it, it doesn't show up. Even if I go to my profile and attempt to view all my listings, it doesn't show up. Is this normal? Will this correct itself?

it can take up to 24 hrs for items to show..........

It's been over 24 hours now and it still isn't showing up anywhere. I haven't revised the item in the past 24 hours.

I dont see any item under your listings, are you sure you launched it?
