My item’s Listing description is not viewable on the listing.

I just created a listing and the detailed description is not viewable when I looked at the listing from my wife’s phone.  Are item descriptions viewable from mobile devices?  I saw that this was a glitch in the past .

@marcv2553  It's buried in a lot of other ads, etc. Click the somewhat obscure "see full description"

When viewing items with a cellphone the description and item specifics are hidden.  Customer must click to read "full description" and access that information.   This is not a glitch but just how EBAY does things now.

The Ebay mobile apps are TRASH.

Fortunately most Ebay buyers do not read the listings or the descriptions anyway, so they are not deterred,

Unfortunately, that leads to more product returns than would otherwise occur.

Your listing says rust free, but a few of your images show a little rust, so you might want to update it.

This will sometimes take you to a blank screen.  Other times the words are there, but there is nothing to click.  There is no link attached and when you click the words, nothing happens.

I see a possible formatting problem with your description. It looks like you cut & paste the information which should be OK but your description ends up in the middle of the box rather than defaulting to the left side so there are large white spaces that might require scrolling. Also, I see HTML items which normally should not be there.

You should remove your phone number from your tos, thats not allowed. Ebay will think you are trying to take the sale off the site, and will remove it if it gets reported.

Although apparently it is not the case here, sellers should be aware that eBay can take up to 24 hours to "index" and upload a listing.

They are particularly careful with new or occasional sellers, and with high value/high fraud products.

Meanwhile, are you registered for Managed Payments?
EBay needs your SSN and your checking account information to transfer any payments to your bank.

Also, eBay puts a Hold on new seller payments for up to 30 days against customer satisfaction.

Because your listing description uses HTML, it will be completely hidden on the app behind the see full description link pictured above.

The only way for your description to appear on the app without having to click a link is to not use any HTML on the text, not embed any photos, and stay under a certain number of characters @marcv2553 .

Thank you for everyone’s assistance.  I used the html editor and removed all the nonsense.  I did notice that even hitting “full description” wasn’t working either.

I went into my listing and shortened the description as well and the link seems to not be working.  Any further suggestions?

You can try selecting your description and cutting it. Then use "paste without formatting" to put it back. I do this on some of my old fancy descriptions so they will show up without the See Full Description link.
