Missing Listings - Even when Searching ebay Listing Number

Hi - so I was asked by a friend on why his item wasn't listed on my ebay account. I gave them the item number: 334667898325. Apparently it does not appear in searches or by the title: Bianca Beauchamp Model - Fetish Sex Symbol - Autograph Book Collection & Extra's. Any ideas on why it might not show in searches? It's listed under collectibles & art / paper / pin up / Contemporary (1970 - now). It carries a significant valuation hence why we want to sort it out as my sales have also overall shrunk dramatically & I wonder if it is more than this 1 listing not appearing.

Re: Missing Listings - Even when Searching ebay Listing Number

We have had several listings disappear.  When going to add in inventory, we found that when searching through our active listings, listings for things previously sold were gone.  Did a search on orders for those part numbers and could see the previous year's sales for the items.  Called ebay and started a repair ticket but still finding them.  One of the listings that disappeared was on an item we had sold almost 1,000 of.  None of the items had insertion fees attached to them, so asked ebay to account for the final value fees since ultimately, whatever is wrong with their systems is blowing back on sellers who have to relist items due to no fault of their own.

You just revised that listing yesterday. It hasn't had enough time to be indexed yet.

It can take up to 24 hours for an item to be indexed, and it's possible that items that might be prohibited may get extra scrutiny.

Searching my item number didn't work for me either.

Perhaps it's like @lacemaker3 said, it just needs more time to index.

Maybe adult stuff isn't being shown as much or maybe not at all.  I honestly thought ebay did away with it.

In my case the listing has been active for over 45 days now.

Restricted adult items policy | eBay

Seems to be a lot of adult stuff in the pin-up category is porn.

BUT -- you just revised it. As I said, and showed before. Listings always have to be re-indexed after they are revised.

Listings can't be found in search until they have been indexed.

Listing did not show before the revision. Support suggested a revision to try & make it appear.

Well, that would have been good to know, wouldn't you think.

If your listing does not become searchable within 24 hours after the revision, then try this:

https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/listings/listing-tips/finding-listing?id=4162

If your listing is active, and it’s been 24 hours, here are some quick checks you can do:

  • Make sure you didn’t misspell anything or run two words together in the item’s title
  • Look for any typos that accidentally created profanity in your listing; search will block a listing if it spots profanity
  • Remove any special characters (! @ / *) from the title
  • ...
