Hello to all of you and welcome.
I would like to suggest this one thing when you post for help on the boards.
Many of the sellers on here take their time to respond and provide solutions. It is so hard when they have questions for you and you've left the building.
Generally, someone will come along in a short period of time to respond or maybe ask further questions. Try to be there, or at least come back to see if you've had a response to your question.
It will make selling easier, I promise.

Yes I saw that yesterday Fern*wood. That is always dismaying but I still believe more benefit from wisdom than not.

Do you know if that’s automatic for new members? Getting an email. I turned mine off years ago,
I agree with others. They seagulled, read and moved on, didn’t like the answers etc...
I believe there is great knowledge to be had on the community. It has helped me.
Thanks Everyone (Well not all) for all you do.

I agree, but I also understand why a lot of posters do not want to do that due to some unscrupulous posters who seem to be allowed to run amok and cause issues.
What I see as a worse trend is eBay's part in making things more difficult, the latest being that posters aren't allowed to post tracking numbers of transactions they are asking about now.
There are some posters who like to disrupt threads shouting down OPs with unconstructive posts like "There must be more to the story!!" "Let's see the proof!", etc., and eBay by these constantly tightening restrictions just give these hostile and unhelpful posts more validity.
How can you help someone when they're not even allowed to post evidence any more of the problem they're actually having so that knowledgeable posters can see what's going on without all the side noise from the perpetual doubters?

And there lies a major issue. Many times disagreeable posts break many of the rules of engagement on here, yet the posts are allowed to stand. There needs to be more vigilence when it becomes clear a poster is getting attacked. It can be completely virilent and extremely upsetting, not just to the poster, but to others who are trying to help and understand a situation.

If you are in a transaction, you can no longer post the item no?
When did that change?
And can you post items nos for those that have already ended?

That's so true crys and if the advice we offer is not to the OP's liking however true it may be - we take the brunt of it. I'm here to help people - not to commisserate with them about how they've been wronged when the problem is with their listing or business practice.
It is unfortunate though that we on the boards can't step back and realize we are not all going to think alike and that there will be opposing views on a subject. The end result is what works best for the seller asking for help.

Hello Emerald. I believe it's Georg who posted those comments.

Many times there isn't a single answer to a question. It can get very jumbled for a poster to sort through all the different view points to reach what they feel is their solution. But that is what they have to do.

I think you missed my point but that's OK.

I rather think sometimes, we should focus on what the person asks......not get invovled in discussing our objections to what someone else says they think. That's how the discussions get off track, and is probably somewhat intimidating to new posters. Stating our thoughts once should be enough to let a poster decide. Obviously, an incorrect post should be corrected, probably by more than one person to give validity to it.

Can't kudo you enough!

No, I understood your point. I was just adding another.

Unfortunately, thats generally how a pile-on gets started.

lol I should correct that to say:
an incorrect FACT (as opposed to opinion) post should be corrected, probably by more than one person to give validity to it.

There is a huge difference between Fact and and Fiction Opinion. Lol.
