Markdown Manager

Any one else having trouble with the Markdown Manager?, For two days now It keeps telling me there was a problem try again later, Every time I hit Launch.

I used it last week without issue.  But anything can happen at any time around here.  Have you contacted Ebay since it has happened the last 2 days?  Ebay is likely the only one that can actually help you.  

When you hit launch is there anything highlighted in red.  That usually denotes there is an error in the information provided in that section.

Just used it right now after seeing this (reminded me "it's time") and there was NO issues (using MDM, then "Sale Event & Markdown"

There are 4 'choices', which one were you using-maybe just that one is glitching??

I successfully launched markdowns yesterday and today without any issues. Clearing cookies and cache or using a different browser may help.

I am sorry this is happening to you, I know it is frustrating.

I had trouble launching a sale last night (gave me an error) so I saved it for later but I woke up this morning and it actually started anyway.

No problem here, I put stuff on sale earlier this morning. 

what option are you trying to use? I just did a straight % off sale.

I have gotten the red error message each time for the last 4 months.  I ignore the message and the markdowns start anyway and continue until my stop date.   Just some sort of ebay glitch that should be ignored.

After hitting launch the only thing in red, is there was an error try again later nothing else highlighted.

If your sale is not launching try launching from your last sale with updates and launch from that.  I believe that is what we have been doing for the last 2 sales.   We always use 10% off for a couple of weeks every month to boost sales.

Can you try hitting the copy button from your last sale and updating the information then launch.  I believe that is what we do.

Sorry to hear that.  Most times when it happens it is because there is a problem with the set up somewhere and it should be highlighted.

Your only option is to contact Ebay and have the take a peek to see what might be going on.

That happens to me all the time, but then when I go to the Promotions Manager page I see the promo was successfully created even though the error message said otherwise.

If that's not happening for you, can you confirm if you're creating a new promo from scratch or copying an old one? Sometimes copying the old ones will cause issues.
