Listing removed for policy violation. How do I remove it from my list?

I listed a vintage baby bunting set (fleece bunting with satin hood & matching sweater.)  Ebay removed it for a policy violation...something about the hood which made no sense, but whatever.

I know not to even try to argue with eBay about it and certainly do not want to try and relist it.

But the listing still shows up on my active list of items to sell, though it says over the listing that  it was removed due to the policy violation.  I just cannot figure out how to totally remove it from the list.  The usual square button to the side of a listing that you check to select the listing does not work so I cannot hit the remove button on the top of the full list to remove it.

I also tried to go into the listing and find an "end listing" button there but when I enter the listing there is no end listing there.

Can anyone help here?

It was a good till canceled listing and certainly do not want to take the chance it is resisted when the original listing period ends.

It should not come back up as it was nuked.  Look under selling on your my eBay page. If it's still there you can delete it.     It could have been recalled or just confused with a recalled item. Your right to never relist it.

@patternsaver

Might there have been drawstrings on the hood? Many vintage baby clothes have these drawstrings and they were deemed a choking hazard.

The problem is I cannot figure out how to delete it from the list on my eBay page.  The button to the left of the listing will not accept a check mark so I cannot delete if from the full list.

More likely because it had a hood. Babies are slippery little suckers and very easy for one to turn itself around and suffocate in the hood part.

Yeah this has been happening lately.  You can't delete it unless you have the box in black.  Don't worry though, it will NOT get relisted automatically.  You have to wait for it to drop off on it's own, I've had a couple like that in the last 12 months, maybe a bit longer.

Re: Listing removed for policy violation. How do I remove it from my list?

Had the same thing happen to me.... Normally it will hang there on your unsold and not relisted list for about a month from the time it was removed..... long story short I had a Playboy magazine that was removed by eBay, not for violating their nudity and nipples thing, but for some unknown "other" reason.  They are never very clear, which is a whole other story.  I have no intention of ever relisting ANY Playboy magazines and removed ALL of them.  About a month later I was able to delete the violation from my list. This all happened about a year ago.

Currently, I have a Vero violation that has been on my list for over a month... This violation was made by Petrus  (the wine company) just over a month ago, as a counterfeit.  It is a still life print of a bottle of Petrus 47 wine by the artist Scott Jacobs.  It's an authentic print, I have documentation..... but that really doesn't seem to matter.  The violation is still on my list and I have no idea how to get rid of it.

Again, I have no intention of EVER relisting it.

If anyone has a clue.... it would be great to know.

@ci1000   You can't delete them anymore.  Who knows why.  Been like this for a year or so.

On the VERO, you can fight that, esp if you have the original receipt using the First Sale Doctrine, but it takes time & can be a hassle.

On the Playboy, apparently a lot of individual issues are not allowed now due to some of the models having been minors at the time of the photo shoot.  I just saw someone post an incomplete list the other day.   There's no issue with nudity on eBay provided it's in the right category.

Re: Listing removed for policy violation. How do I remove it from my list?

@simply-the-best-for-you  So I guess the big question here is if you can't delete them... do they just stay there forever?  Doesn't make much sense.

In regards to the VERO violation.... I have contacted Petrus (through their attorney) and have submitted documentation.  It's been a couple of weeks and I do not hold any hope of ever getting a response from them.... other than them demanding money from me for their client.  What a waste of time.... The whole VERO system is basically a sham that provides the attorneys with possible marks to extort money from.... just my opinion.

In regards to the Playboy magazines.... some things are just not worth the time and energy..... especially when sellers now need to screen EVERY magazine and compare them to some partial list and spend their time wondering when the next take down will occur.  As I said previously, it would really be nice if eBay would provide sellers with some clarity before they waste their time preparing the listing.

Re: Listing removed for policy violation. How do I remove it from my list?

@ci1000 No, they don't stay there forever.  They stay for either 60 or 90 days, the normal dropoff for whichever screen you're looking at (they stay on several screens), I think most of them are 90 days, but I haven't had one for a long time.

Re; the rest, I didn't realize that you already disputed it.  Some VERO's are valid & some are def abuse by the company.  You can win, but yes it can take a great deal of time & effort.  There's a woman in the UK I believe, who has fought like 40 of them, most with huge co's & won every single one.  She's not a lawyer.  But she obviously has a lot of time on her hands to do this.  Tabberone if you're interested in checking it out, she has a very robust, if quite old fashioned, website, explaining how to fight every single variation you can imagine, but as you say with the Playboys, some things are not worth the time & energy.   I agree that eBay should be providing more documentation on prohibited items, same issue with books I'm told, no list to know which books are not allowed.

@simply-the-best-for-you   I wanted to let you know that I just received an email from the attorneys for Petrus.... The VERO complaint is being withdrawn.... I'm truly amazed... still don't plan on listing it again on eBay.....

@ci1000  That's great!!! Glad it was that easy.  Just curious, did you mention "first sale doctrine" in your appeal?   You can list it if the complaint is withdrawn, but I can understand why you may not want to.

Re: Listing removed for policy violation. How do I remove it from my list?

If they withdrew the complaint, they need to contact ebay and have the ding removed from your account. (A VeRO ding is not something you want staying on your record.) They may not know they have to let ebay know they made a mistake.

Whether you decide to relist is up to you but don't relist until you get notice from ebay that they received notification from the rights owner.
