I listed my item and after several hours it was not visible - though Ebay listed it as "Active". I called EBay and was read some script about how certain items are subject to "indexing" which takes 24 hours or more. In my attempt to fix the problem I tried revising my item. Ebay informed me that every time I revise my item it adds on another 24 hours of "indexing". My item is a not a high ticket item. It is a new and popular European child's toy. Nothing to cause any security issue. Nor did I use any special "featured" listing tools that might create an "indexing" problem. My item was also initially cancelled when I placed it on eBay - with a message saying my account was suspended - forcing me to call in "in order to establish it was really me" by having me repeat my phone number and address. This is abysmal customer service. Has anyone else experienced having newly listed items cancelled and your account suspended for no reason? Shouldn't items be visible right away when selling? Any software that requires "indexing" items for days before being visible to the public is bad software in my opinion. I've sold occasionally on Ebay for 20 years and have never heard of any of these issues nor experienced them before. Does anyone have a solution? I am very unhappy with Ebay.

its always been up to twenty four hours for indexing an item...you understand there are over 1.5 billion listings on Ebay, with over a million new listings every day?

Is the listing now visible?

It doesn't require indexing for "days;" it requires indexing when it is first listed, and then again each time it is revised. The indexing clock re-starts each time you revise it. Indexing time can vary significantly, it tends to be much longer in some categories such as electronics and categories known for fakes and scams. The only solution is to stop revising it.
Did you set up the listing on the ID you've used when selling during the past 20 years, or on the new ID that you used to post here?
If you give us the listing number, we'd be glad to check up on it for you.
