@manpref-83 It depends on what kind of leaves you are referencing. As other posters have stated, there are some legal considerations, some customs rules, etc. that may need to be followed.

Isn’t tea made from tree leaves?

Hopefully there won't be any bald eagles flying around the area where you collect "your" thimbleful.

Look, IDK why you're so concerned about where I get my dirt, but I own a 35 acre lot, along with the mineral rights on it & I am free to pick as many rocks, dirt & plants that I want from my own property. I also have 37 neighbors there that will happily let me pick stuff off their properties. Tumbleweeds are a nuisance here & people are grateful to let you take them for free, same with yuccas. Sandstone dust is free for the taking at any local rock yard, along with many small rocks if you ask nicely & even big rocks, if you spend a lot with them like I do.
I don't live in the UK, I don't have any coastal areas within 1000 miles of me, nowhere did I say I was getting them from a beach or park or any protected area. I'm not sure why you're so concerned about where I get my dirt, but since you are, I promise you I plan to do it legally. It's also not against the law to remove rocks, etc. from many of the parks & trails here. Laws vary in different areas & I live in the 'wild west', where are pretty lenient about lots of things.

I wonder how many people are currently in prison for taking sand from a beach?
