What do you figure a leaf would look like after that 2 week plus trip on the road from Sri Lanka?

Most sell them powdered or crumbled/dried, so they look like spices or herbs in a container/jar.

@stainlessenginecovers wrote:What about selling dirt? Think about it, collecting 1 scoop of dirt from every country on Planet Earth?
Could be something there?
My mom wants me to bring her red dirt from my state b/c she has a little collection of dirt/sand from different states, so it's not crazy LOL.

Can we see a picture of the leaves? I'm really curious. For real.
Whenever I travel I like to try exotic fruits from the locale, so if the leaves are especially pretty or unique, I think this could work IF THEY ARE ALLOWED TO BE IMPORTED INTO THE US.
I want to see the leaves though, please post a pic OP.

Removing sand from many coastal states in the United States like Hawaii, California, or Florida is in fact illegal, along with virtually any public beach in the UK and coastal European countries.
It's not only illegal, it also sets a precedent for damaged coastal areas. Bad idea.

Kidding aside.
Here is the link to the US Gov info on importing coffee, tea and spices. Generally there are no restrictions but there are labeling requirements. https://help.cbp.gov/s/article/Article-337?language=en_US.
Unlabeled agricultural products cannot be legally imported and hence sold on eBay.

Thank you. Very pretty. Not unique enough that I'd pay someone to ship them across the world, but pretty.
I have worked with clay at times & many of the potters who do hand building use very large leaves to create pottery designs & large platters or small ornaments for the more common leaves. Mine are all packed away, but here's some examples. So def people can use unique leaves for arts & crafts.

@simply-the-best-for-you wrote:@pburn Yes, that's true. I don't plan to get my thimbleful from protected areas. It's kinda like tumbleweeds around here - ubiquitous.
Hopefully there won't be any bald eagles flying around the area where you collect "your" thimbleful.
