I'm having a hard time explaining this.. Let me scale it all the way back to this question:
The title of my item is "mauve earrings". Why is my listing not showing up in the results when I type that in?
(I throw some filters that apply to my item so I don't have to sift through the 513 results to find it).
Not there.
I have always confirmed that my items have been successfully listed this way on another account for over a year. Never had this problem.
It has to do with the way search is showing........type in Mauve earrings and if you watch the category box at the top of search, it jumps from all to earrings........Yours do not show up...... If you change that category to All, yours show........ Yours are listed in handcrafted earrings category. but that apparently is not included in the general earring category........ I've fought this for years to no avail...........it was called implicit navigation at one time which meant ebay was choosing which category to show to the exclusion of other applicable categories.
You're going to have to change the category to Fashion Jewelry to get it to show.......

When I look at your listings, I see 6 listings for some beautiful dangle earrings.

My question would be, are they expensive? I know they say 24 hrs, but in my experience, a more expensive item (may) get more scrutiny and thus take longer? Like even after I got past the long delay, I would have stuff showing up instantly, except a hand few of high value items took a bit longer, so there was a noticeable difference in delay of listing based on item price after the "new seller" delay in indexing. Just my anecdotal evidence/perception. 🙈🙉

Maybe a little, but making these types of earrings is not cheap either when you use glass and crystal beads. I sell beads and I make Christmas ornaments from beads. It is expensive to do.
Now plastic beads are far cheaper, so if you look at earrings made with plastic beads, you will find they are much less expensive.

Awww!! Thank you!! Well during this frustration I'll certainly take the lovely compliment!! 😊💕
If you click on my account name, the items show up, but if a person types in "mauve earrings" for example, I'm not in any results even with applying all the filters is the problem... So odd...
Thank you again!! (You made my night 😁)

Oh hey thanks for your input!! Hmm.... They're a little pricier than a lot of the earrings on eBay but they're all under like $23. What do you think? Or are you meaning like over $50, $100..?

Interesting that you're mentioning this because..
I wanted to go cheaper but was reading forums online about craftspeople (and particularly women apparently?) under-charging for their work, so I added up everything and realized things I've never taken into account:
Time it takes you to:
Make the item, figure the pricing, do your keyword research, photos, descriptions and shipping.
Then cost: materials, cardstock used for the backings, printer ink, jewelry box, tissue paper, little stickers on the packaging, envelope eBay's % and fees.
Also if you offer free returns as I do, you got to take a little into account for that.. and wow it all adds up!
So I'm kind of advocating for fellow artisans to make sure they cover their cost after I figured all that! Whew! 😃
Thanks! I gotta check your Christmas beads this fall- Woo hoo! 😄

Oh oops- I just reread. I have to check out your beads in general and oh wow Christmas ornaments made with beads- and I thought I had patience ha! Best to you and enjoy!

OK this is an interesting problem. I don't know if it is because of the periods in your titles or if it is a search engine issue. But if I type in Mauve earrings handcrafted, they do show up in the return.
If I still worked outside the home, I'd be very tempted to get some of those earrings you have. My daughter doesn't like drop earrings at all. She prefers studs or very low profile dangles.

I can't argue with any of that. It is well thought out and all true. I personally will pay more for well crafted glass bead earrings.

They are fun to make and only some are really complicated. Unfortunately my hands aren't cooperating these last couple of years so I haven't done many. My kids and friends are use to getting something new to add to their trees every year. But there are some types of ornaments that aren't that complicated, I just need to get busy. LOL

Just for the record, my question about expensive or not was not relative to other similar sellers/items available. I meant a $2,000 listing regardless of what it is will get more scrutiny by EBay than a $5 or $50 item.
I remember in June I was newer but past the long delay phase... listing my coins most would show up nearly immediately, but I listed a coin for $599 and it took an hour to show up. I mean the total price can lead to a bit of scrutiny. If you list an $18,000 item and a $18 item, especially as a newer seller, I'm betting everything the $18 shows up much faster than $18,000

It is not likely that her listings took a great deal of time to show up. It appears from what I found out that it is more related to what she put in the search.
Typically listing that take a long time to actually show up are being review for brand name stuff, possibly Vero related.

Interesting -- when I was new my stuff took like 24-36 hrs to show up. It wasnt any issues of brand review. It was vintage baseball memorabilia.

I totally get the search issue. What I also found to be true is, if the listing shows up on the sellers profile / items for sale, then it's fully indexed and shows in search results (assuming no search issues like you were talking about). So its easy to check for indexing that way.
