I have had some Items that I have sold several months ago to a year and end up being listed back in my account with out me knowing it by Ebay. How many other people are having this problem?

That's been a problem for years and has happened to a lot of sellers.

Me to, from about a year ago, got re-listed buyer bought, now I have to explain why I do not have it and take the hit. Has happened a few times.

I've had it happen a couple times, but got lucky and caught them before they sold again.
Ebay knows it's a problem and they should be able to see that the seller didn't relist the items.

Believe I've had this happen to me once however, I often have found items randomly and suddenly no longer even up for sale and not showing in the "Unsold" category or the "Ended" category either. Just vanished which of course if I had done so accidentally somehow, they should show at least in the "Ended" section.

It happened to me once and thinking it was my error, I refunded the buyer and sent another of the same item free of charge but in a different color.
Although ebay denies the existence of ghost listings, they do exist and are often hard to discover if one has more than a few listings.

Happens to me about 1 or 2 times a year. Last week I had 2 items that sold a year back and got sold again. I have a few thousand listings so it almost impossible to catch them when they happen. I always report it to eBay and they always tell me it can't happen.

A couple of times a year sold items show back up. Several times a year, listings are dropped.

Well, I am **bleep**. It keeps happening to me and this week I shipped a top and there it is, relisted. I caught this one, but had to apologize to a lady for another one that I did not have. My rating dropped. Ebay wont listen to me. I know I am not relisting them. They are telling me now my final fee may be increased for this. I dont know what to do. I guess check my items each day. I am sick of them not believing us.

Pretty much every seller who has sold here for any length of time have had it happen, more than once. They are called "ghost listings" . eBay denies they have a problem with it happening and pass the blame on to sellers. It is such a widespread problem that there is literally 0% chance that it is not an eBay problem. Getting them to admit it and fix it, good luck!

This is a well known and widely publisized glitch for years. A sheet should never take a hit to their metrics for ebay's inferior infrastructure. Just let the buyer know about the known issue and apologize and cancel order as problem with buyers address so you don't get dinged by eBay- after all it is their fault. It happens to me about 3-4x a year.

@sellingprincess1-- actually, those two listings were slightly different so your situation was not a case of eBay relisting something after it sold. (If I found the correct two listings, apologies if I made a mistake.)
You had two listings, started a few days apart and both active at the same time, which were almost identical. Same pictures, same description, but two slightly different bust sizes stated in the titles.

Sorry, I got the items a bit mixed up in that table. This one should be correct:

This happens to me at least twice a week, I have had items sell that I have sold out of over a year ago. I have way too many listings to possible find them all. I do catch some once in a while but it is usually dumb luck that I do. I have also had listing disappear a lot of the time and no ended listings to be found anywhere. I only notice when I see the item in my warehouse and wonder why it has not moved in a long time. Ebay has been so messed up with so many problems as of late.
