Hello Everyone! Im seeking some help with a case that my buyer just opened. I recently sold a jersey and shipped it too his desired address. Tracking shows delivered too his address but buyer claims it never showed up. I feel like im basically screwed now. Is there anyway the buyer and myself can get a refund?

If tracking shows delivered, ebay will support you and not force you to refund. It would be wise of you to commiserate with the buyer and explain that they should check with family/neighbors/postman to try to find the package. Their local PO will check the delivery scan to find the exact delivery point and may investigate if it would seem to be a porch theft.

Hopefully the person is not trying to scam you. If they honestly want the item they ordered, you can suggest that they search the outside of their house for the package. I've had boxes delivered to my side door, which we never use. I've even had a box delivered to the tiny door that leads under my house. so, the first thing your buyer could do would be to thoroughly investigate their property. I would guess it's there somewhere, waiting to be discovered.

In some cases I have had packages delivered to nearby neighbors houses. If the buyer is being honest that he doesn't have it then it could have been left at the wrong house. As you have tracking contact ebay and see what they suggest. You've done your part so should not have to refund. Perhaps ebay will refund the buyer out of their pocket.

As long as the tracking shows the item was delivered, you're safe. You're covered.
If the buyer filed a "item not received" case make sure you respond to the care right away.
Something simple like "Tracking shows package was delivered on..."
Also make sure you provide a tracking number to that case.
Ebay should find in your favor. You will not be held responsible.
Like @duncanvr said, once in a while ebay will refund the buyer at ebay's expense.

That's a lie! Tracking showed my package to Canada was "DELIVERED" yet buyer says he never received my item. eBay sided with buyer and held $2000 of my sales to refund the crooked buyer. Ebay scammed me big time!

I'd say, "No"... you're not due a refund. Upload tracking into the INR (if necessary) and the buyer won't be, either. Good luck.

Hey! Thank you for responding! I actually never had this happen and so far I followed everything you said. He filed a case and I added the tracking and said tracking shows delivered. Thanks again!

Topic expansion: I have been having some issues with international sales especially to Russia. My buyer uses an USA import export broker so basically what I am about to tell you to do is not covered because the sale is seen as USA not international.
Change to using all international sales (even Canada) to eBay international shipping service. Then you as the seller only have to get it to the eBay shipping center. Two of my sales to China opened not delivered claim. I was not responsible for the loss eBay international shipping stepped in and took care of the issue both times.
Hope this helps

But before you call eBay, practice by putting your head in a hydraulic vice. When you hear the Champaign cork sound, you're ready to call.
