It's a big holiday in the US so, I guess that means no one in the US can buy anything on eBay NOR anyone in any other country like Canada (my home). Most weeks are depressing but, this one is 5x worse. So, this is my thanks for eBay. LOL Good luck to us all. 🙂

This person is always commenting on my posts & trying to insult my business sense or knowledge of items I'm selling. Already asked him to quit adding his 2 cents to my posts. 🙂

The plastic poncho is a one-size fits all. The pins have no brand name on the box. I write, "NRMT-MT unless otherwise described." If they are not good quality, I say what the flaws are. From the questions I get, most don't even read the descriptions. How many photos of a child's bowling pin do you require? I've been selling online for 20 years, I know HOW to sell & don't need obvious suggestions that do not increase sales in any way; they just take up necessary time which I can use to try to sell elsewhere. Being told to drop prices means nothing when I give the BIN option. People already offer 50% or less. Why drop my price by 50% then, have them offer 50% of that? I do complain a lot because someone needs to make changes on this site. If we don't speak up, nothing will get done. I'm protesting! 🙂

@sakic92710 I'm a little confused by your post ... Canada's Thanksgiving is in October ... does the same thing happen then for Canadians, meaning they take time for family and friends and get some time off from work but don't buy as mush online or in stores? One or two days without a sale shouldn't be a big deal right? Just curious, not criticizing ...

I don't know how many photos I require, but don't feel out of line in hoping for more than one. Maybe it isn't a brand name (you say Granoer?) but I see words in the upper right of your one photo which I can't read. You do say see "images".
I've been selling for a long time too and have learned immensely from others with tips on this board, but carry on if you feel you have no where to go to change things for yourself other than hoping others fix things for you. I didn't say anything about lowering prices.

Hi. I know you didn't mention dropping prices but, you mentioned other people's advice on here. Coolections always seems to think my prices are too high compared to other sellers. However, a lot of what I post has almost no competition to compare prices to or his 'examples' are items not even exact to mine. An autograph in a book isn't that same as a White House auto. 🙂 Take care.

What I did mean was it isn't a holiday in Canada or many other countries so, it should be more like business as usual. US Thanksgiving shouldn't interfere with sales because US citizens are traveling, visiting, 'holidaying.' 🙂

Lots of people in the U.S. start their christmas shopping on Thanksgiving/Black Friday. So would most likely look be looking for brand new & local items to purchase. As well as being conditioned to look for deep discounts, be them real or or imaginary.

You actually make some very good points here ... let me say that at times it seems some folks just like to get others riled up and from a pricing standpoint, if anyone takes eBay's Sold search as Gospel then they are doing nothing more then helping eBay with their agenda to drive prices down. I use it as a guideline and typically throw out all the low ball sold items and make decisions from there ...on more than one occasion eBay has buried higher priced sold items down the list they return, showing lower priced ones at the top then some similar items then the actual ones again a scroll or two down ... plus I think they only go back 90 days on Sold items (but could be wrong there).
I too will have the only one of a kind item at times so I price it based on acquisition cost, desired profit, fees, etc. and then put it on an Auction listing and let the market take it from there.

Wife's sales spiked upwards on the Holiday.
Weekends have been better than week days with me making a trip to the PO rather than putting out a pile for the carrier on Mondays.
After a good weekend, my MP account has flat-lined with nary a sale in 4 days.
My other account had one sale that barely paid for lunch.
Not funding my retirement with eBay, so will take what I get, and spend time doing other things:)
Wish I had a place to spend these "Loonies" sitting on my computer desk.
And what is a $2 Canadian coin called? A Loonie Two...oon ?

Trying to blame your buyers for your lack of descriptions is not helpful.

I had my normal number of sales, too (more than I expected, considering I've barely been listing).
This a strange, sort of sometimey time of year. When people realise that it's the same old krap being sold EVERYWHERE on those big Black Friday sales, they'll come here afterwards and look for the good stuff.
And that most of the BF "deals" are actually 'special buy ins' and not discounts on the actual stuff that was already in store.

Sorry to hear it. Maybe the weekend will make up for it? Hope so! I had a nice sale on Kijiji but, doesn't make up for the slack! lol Take care. 🙂
