So I recently had to cancel a sale because the buyer messaged the next day "I didn't immediately pay for my item not to ship. You're slow". Went on how they are a top rated seller etc. I have my handing time set for 2 days, it wasn't even 24hrs.
From that I canceled his order because I took it as an unreasonable demand and he was not happy with the transaction. (Also Blocked them) They left negative feedback which Ebay will not remove. That is not the issue.
The issue is. Same item on relisted auction, one week later. The winning bidder has the same last name and the address is within 5min of each other. Obviously relative or even the same person. What can I do to cancel this order without getting negative feedback? Especially feedback that cannot be removed again? I called CS and they were no help at all.
They are going to do the same thing if I cancel even with issue with the buyers shipping address.

All mine say 3 days.

Am a '44 model and here is what I stated -
"For what it is worth - the buyer was probably comparing your customer service level to how Amazon does it - guess sellers need to keep up with the Big Dog the best they can. Always had a 1 day shipping time always made that happen by having a USPS scan by our PO or USPS carrier even on a Saturdays and often would ship the same day - buyers like that very much and stated it in there FB.replies"
Lee Iaccoca (the founder of the first Ford Mustang and savior of Chrysler Corporation when he negotiated a joint venture with Mitsubishi Corporation and they called it "Diamond Star" built a pant in Indiana stated it this way you can >>>>>> V '
On a side note happen to be in the Mitsubishi Corp. main building in Tokyo - was taking a few of our well performing dealers/distributors on a visit to Japan. Mr.Iaccoca was in the building at the same time on another floor but came up to shake hands with our US contingent. After he left - we consumed massive amounts of Saki out of not so small wooden cup and proceeded to try to build a pyramid to the ceiling from a table. Oddly enough we made it - a ladder was involved too.

@jg.mason No, it really doesn't....It may 'say it' if you dig deep enough (which almost nobody does, have to click the 'see details' where the shipping is shown) but it doesn't SHOW it; nor do you state that in your Written Description
I'm referring to saying it RIGHT on the front of the listing, right below the Buy It Now button..

Still your statement was factually incorrect.
It is on the listing. It's just a bit buried on the listing.

I guess the buyer figured they pay you jump.
Listings do NOT state until you do 5 days
My listings DO state 3 day handling time. As the op's state nothing, 1 day, 2 day. So if a buyer want's to know the sellers handling time they will have to click on the shipping details drop down to find out.
Now I do see what you're say about the 5 days or more handling time showing up on the main listing page which happens what? less than 20% of the time would be my guess.

That particular listing doesn't show a handling time because it is an auction. eBay only shows handling time on BIN listings, I have no idea why. In order to see that the buyer has to click ‘see details’ and I doubt that the majority of buyers click on that.
As others have said, you didn’t handle the situation very well. I would not have cancelled.

Buried information is just that. Buried....so it does NOT state the 2 Days for 90% of the people.
All I said is that it DOENS'T show unless you choose 5 days; showing means it's "Just there"; not having to clickety clickety click to 'find' something.
Show means: "out front, in your face"

This is what you said.
"Listings do NOT state until you do 5 days"
Which is factually incorrect.
Just because it's buried doesn't mean it's not on the listing.
I can say at least for BIN that the handling expectation is on EVERY listing.

I would just 'ship' as you are going to get a neg anyway, but you can 'respond' in a professional way and you will NOT get a defect and you WILL make some $$ and that is what you are even here for.
Cancel and Don't Ship
-1 (get neg)
-1 (ebay slaps, could even ban you)
-1 (make no $$)
Ship
-1 (get neg)
+1 no ebay slap
+5 make $$ !!
You forgot the return shipping cost. Buy was already unhappy the minute they started complaining.
Been my experience that if they are whining before the item has been shipped, it's only going to get worse.
This appears to be a no-win situation.
Up to the OP to determine risk-vs-cost

That isn't correct. Listings DO state and in fact, in looking at this listing from the OP/seller, it clearly shows 2 days:

We don't all, for whatever reason, see the same thing.
Shot of the listing that feedback was left for, not a random listing.

Because that specific listing was an auction.
The images that were shown by a different poster was of BIN.
The handling time for auction i don't believe is shown unless it's extended.
I would recommend if someone did run an auction that they list a handling time in the description.

Going around the block list is a violation of ebay rules. If you can prove your case, ebay should remove negative feedback you get and they should warn the buyer.
Or, that's how it's supposed to work.

Absolutely Positively NOT "clearly" if you have to 'click' the 'see details' next to the shipping which is
a.) new
b.) most ebayers would NOT know to 'look' there.
Let's be real; it's buried so if you want to STAND OUT and be clear, it has to be 5 days or more.

You are correct.
but:
My post was backing the fact that the listing that the feedback was left for did not show the buyer the handling time.
