International Buyer Canceled Order & then Paid

So I had an international sale and the buyer sent me a message that the shipping amount had showed as $30.00 when he bid and then when he went to pay it was $60.00 and that was too high so would  I please cancel the order.

I canceled the order.

Then I submitted a second chance offer to my next highest bidder.

This morning I see that it was paid and was surprised to see that the first

internaitonal buyer was the one who had paid.

So I ended the 2nd chance offer.

I checked the details on eBay and in Pay Pal and the payment was there.

So I continued with printing the label and shipping.

But the question remains:

How can a buyer pay for an item that has been canceled?

How messed up is that?

Has anyone had this happen?

Hope this goes well for you. But all they have to do is file an inad now and you will owe them $90. Cost of purchase and return shipping.

Yeah I wouldn't ship it to them.   I'd refund and remind them the transaction had been cancelled already

I guess that I should have done exactly what you say, but too late now.

Seriously though eBay should have stopped the payment - there should be

no way that a canceled item can get paid for!

Hopefully eBay can fix this glitch!
