Insertion fee - wrong

Hello dear community!

Today I decided to edit several of my lots and noticed in one lot - Total fees for selected listing: $ 0.30 (I did not make confirmation of editing).

This lot was put up on Good 'Til Canceled and I did not choose any additional options and advertisements and did not exceed the number of free ads per month.

As a result, I see in Review fees - Insertion fee $ 0.30.

I don’t understand why this Insertion fee was charged to me.

How can I find out what this Insertion fee is for and how can I cancel it?

I do not know if it is possible to provide a link to this item here?

Regards.

Insertion fee - wrong

I wrote to eBay support but they couldn't help either.

They said that the possible reasons:

1. Either a fee is charged because you are trying to list the product on any other site and your free listing quota may have run out of that listing site's quota.

2. Or if you are trying to list a product in a second category.

But this is all wrong, I don’t place an ad on another site, I have a quota for free placement, and I don’t use the second category either.

In general, everything is covered with darkness.

I closed these ads and re-posted them from scratch, no fee was charged.

Thanks to everyone who tried to help me.

Try starting a new listing from scratch and see what happens.

With other lots, everything is fine.

If you create a lot from scratch, everything is ok too.

The problem is with this one lot and I don't understand why this Insertion fee of $ 0.30 is charged.

Now I will check all lots (wow, work for the whole day.) =(

This is some kind of glitch or some kind of innovation.

Make sure that nothing is entered in the space for second category: That will charge an insertion fee even if the insertion for the first category is free.

The second category has nothing added.

I carefully checked the entire lot editing page - no additional paid options are used.

I can't understand anything.

I found another such lot - I also see an Insertion fee of $ 0.30.

I will continue to check all lots.

Can anyone know how to reset all additional and promotional options in a lot?

Does the category itself qualify for free  listings?

Of course, without you revealing the actual listing involved, we are flying blind and can only take wild guesses.

Yes, the category is suitable for free listings.

And I don't have oversubscribed free classified ads.

These are my two ads: 274584110583 and 283424879070

Both of those are in Toys/Hobbies.....contemporary manufacture.

Only "free" Select Category  for Toys/hobbies is collectible card games.....

That link is for the list of categories eligible for the bonus fixed price listings that sellers in MP get if they have a subscription at or above the Basic level. That would not seem to be applicable here because OP is not in MP and the 30-cent insertion fee is for Starter-level stores. OTOH, Starter stores get only 250 free insertions, and the OP has over 400 listings so probably he has just used up his free insertions for July.

Or maybe all of this is  moot because OP is in Russia and they have some other set of prices and policies.

Your statement is not true.

I have a Basic Store subscription and have 350 Good 'Til Canceled listings available for free in the category / Toys & Hobbies> Diecast & Toy Vehicles> Cars, Trucks & Vans> Contemporary Manufacture

@siberian2ooo,

I'm sorry but you are mistaken about the store fees.

  • Basic stores have 1,000 fixed-price free listings in all categories, plus 10,000 more in select categories. After that, each fixed price listing costs $0.25.
  • Starter stores have 250 free listings of any format in all categories, and after that each listing costs $0.30.

https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/selling-fees/store-fees?id=4809#section2

Since you said you are being charged $0.30, you are probably also mistaken about your store level, and have a Starter store, which has 250 free listings of any format per month.

Currently, I see 427 active listings, and it looks like about 288 of them were started on days 1 to 18 of the month, so that means that 288 listings were either started or relisted by July 18, 2021, not including any sold listings that were started or relisted this month as well.

That means that you went over your allowance of free listings this month. I see about 84 auction format listings that were started on Jul 15, 2021, so that would have done it, some of them would have had insertion fees. Any fixed-price listings that were relisted since then, would also have been charged an insertion fee.
