Images washed out?

I am having an issue with listings entered in the last 48 hours. All the images are coming out with varying degrees of being washed out with very odd lighting, like they've been passed through a filter. Within the same listing, if I have a dozen photos half of them will look awful and the other half look fine.

First I thought it was my camera, but there's nothing wrong with the images on my phone. I am using Garagesale and the images look fine in the software, they're coming out horrible once eBay starts managing them. 

Anybody with the same problem and any insight? Is this one of those eBay "improvements?"

For the record, I'm not referring to image compression. It's almost like the lighting has been changed on some images to make them appear darker. But the problem is that it is not being consistently applied, which leads me to believe that it's some kind of automated program running in the background.

If you are positive that it is not your camera, Maybe you are not using the ebay photo editor properly, There are lighting settings, background remover etc.
