IF MISSING PHOTO EDITING TOOLS after recent eBay update, try right clicking on an image to edit

Since the recent update to listing tool, I can't see the photo editing tools/icons: the two dots that are supposed to be on each image for editing (nor an editing pencil icon).

Today, I right-clicked an image while editing a listing and the image opened in edit mode. I was able to edit successfully.

I have this problem with both Chrome and Edge using latest versions on Windows 11 (also with latest updates). Both Chrome and Edge browsers allow me to right click each image to edit.

Cheers!

I didn't have the problem and was successful using the mobile version of eBay on both iPhone and iPad.

Re: IF MISSING PHOTO EDITING TOOLS after recent eBay update, try right clicking on an image to edit

The right-click workaround to edit photos is still working for me but without doing that or opening a photo in the browser sidebar, I can't edit photos.

Summary: Since the update, I no longer see both the edit icon (pencil) and the delete icon (trash can) on photos when adding/editing a listing.

Using Chrome and Edge, I can't open the photo in edit mode by just clicking on it (it doesn't open). I CAN successfully edit photos by right-clicking on the photo (note: I'm using a trackpad, not mouse, which is slightly different than a straight right-click with a mouse).

For both Chrome and Edge, this is what listing photo looks like after eBay update, with Delete icon but no Edit icon:

Re: IF MISSING PHOTO EDITING TOOLS after recent eBay update, try right clicking on an image to edit

With both Chrome and Edge, I can right-click, select Open with Sidebar and then I can see the Edit icon with THREE DOTS  which, when clicked, two options are displayed "Edit photo" and" Delete".  (I have adjusted the width of the sidebar to make it easier to see in the example below.)

Something about the function of the sidebar doesn't suppress the display of the Edit icon. Browser issue of some sort, but I'm going to keep right-clicking to edit for now because it works for me.

I should have posted in Report eBay Technical Issues. Forgive me, I'm new here.

I can't edit photos anymore either. How did you get that side bar to come up?

Re: IF MISSING PHOTO EDITING TOOLS after recent eBay update, try right clicking on an image to edit

Edited to add: I double clicked the main photo and was able to edit. Can't edit photos either. Plus why do we have to click on "Select" to delete all the photos instead of just clicking on Delete all photos?

I remember reading something years ago, the more clicks the more a site is seen online. I noticed since then that all things we could do years ago with one click now take 2+ many many in some instances.
