I need some input

A buyer purchased an item and I went to print up the label and couldn't due to incorrect address. I notified the buyer and they sent me an address through an ebay message. The buyer wanted to have me change it and I told them that they would have to change the address. The buyer responded with this message,

**I can't add this address to eBay, the system doesn't allow me,, address is good you can check it at usps, if are not able to change it please cancel order.** So the question is should I change the address or cancel?

Re: I need some input

You can't post it on this thread, but if you want to send me a PM [private message].  I'd need to see both the addresses to try and figure out what is going on.

If you don't know how to send a PM.  It is located on the upper right side of your screen.  Just left of your avatar.  See the little envelop.  Click on that.

Same city, the zip last 2 numbers are different and the street address is different. Just googled it and this is some kind of Global Cargo Warehouse.

They could be having it shipped to where they work.  Is this a US buyer or an international buyer?

Then it is likely a work address.

Re: I need some input

That sounds fishy to me.

There are customers of all kinds here.

Last year a customer bought an item for me with credit card, he was a new member.

When he received the goods, he closed the Ebay acct. and filed a claim to his credit card saying that he never received the merchandise.

His trick didn't work  for him thanks to the USPS tracking that confirmed that package was delivered and left in his porch at the care of his immediate neighbor.

Re: I need some input

The buyer CAN'T change the address for an item after it's sold...........  They can change the address on ebay but it won't work on past purchases..........   If the address and request are in an ebay message.......there should be no problem if you change it on ebay, you may have to call ebay if there's a question, but they can see the message.  That said, I don't think  paypal would back you on a not delivered claim.....they won't recognize ebay messages.

Personally, I change the address.......but my items aren't that inviting to scammers nor are they expensive enough to worry about it........  I can't judge how your situation stacks up.........
