I pay for 1000 listings per month.

I sell vinyl albums all with a quantity of 1.

I need to modify my listings each month. My listings are done on any day I have spare time and as a result some end almost every day. I have 1000's of albums to choose from and do not want to keep listing the same ones.

This is as bad as EBAY taking 10% of the money charged for actual mailing costs. Seems that should be a federal crime.

So, end the ones that you don't want to continue. And Amazon has charge the fee on the entire transaction for a lot longer than eBay. PayPal has done it from the very beginning.

I so tire of hearing: “Well, Amazon does it!” I still hear my mother when I came home at 9 years old:
Me: I want to wear make up!
Mother: Don’t be silly, you’re only 9.
Me: But Rene and Shelly get to wear makeup!
Mother: Well, good thing they’re not snacking on dog ***** because you’d be wanting to snack on one too?
I never used that one again LOL. I’ve since had a chance to nip same with my kids and grandkids. I know, sassy granny lol.

Well, considering the Orig poster said it should be a federal crime, there is some justification for pointing out that other sites charge exactly the same as ebay....

I know what you are saying but big difference in analogies there. One is personal preference, and comes under your Mom's authority to choose; the other, eBay and Amazon, come under business decisions and indicate what is not uncommon regarding those decisions and policies. Competition, industry standard, and the bottom line and all that.

You do not have to sell the same stuff every month. But you will have to log in every day, and end the items you do not want to sell again before they relist.

I think a lot of sellers are at fault for that. I remember back in the late 90's and early 2000 sellers would list an item for 1.00 and and then charge 50.00 or 100.00 for shipping. They were doing so to avoid paying the fvf fee. Ebay has to make money also or none of us will have a platform to sell on. 😏

That requires me to cancel the items before they end. The last few days are when many people look at them.

It also means I need to look EVERYDAY to see what is nearing 30 days and determine which ones I want to end early. ANSWER - I don't want to cancel ANY early ! And if I miss a day (I use the computer at my local library) Ebay will relist them without me deciding that I WANT them relisted.
