Did you mean:

I am done

I am finally 100% done with eBay! I have put all listings as away for a month but will be ending. But today is my birthday so not in the mood to do that today.

Really angry since I reported a buyer that made a claim after giving me an address that does not even exist. They said did not show delivery. Well, duh! Can not deliver to somewhere that does not exist. Even had to pay out of MY pocket the total refund. Even money subtracted originally as fees!

Plus, dealing with a very ride buyer that makes me wonder about learning today. Saying did not get delivered and it was returned as undeliverable so have done nothing. Tracking did show up and it shows it went to where they live and came back and was delivered. Makes you wonder sometimes.

Happy (not) birthday to me!

Re: I am done

Whats really got me angry is eBay when I contacted when claim 1st was done that they had gone AGAINST the buyer and I did not have to do anything. And that they had ruled against the buyer! That is what has me so angry the most. Can not enjoy my own birthday!

All you have to do is go to the seller hub, hit "select all", and "end listings", It takes a few seconds - probably takes less time than putting your account to "away".

Re: I am done

An Ebay business which sells items for roughly a dollar with free shipping is something I cannot relate to.

The buyers for such an Ebay seller are likely to be scarier than other Ebay buyers.

It is not surprising that you are giving up selling on Ebay. What is surprising is that you survived long enough to sell 6k items.

Happy Birthday and may you find a saner future.

But you're in the mood to make this thread & complain/dwell over eBay, on your birthday?

A quick examination of their banknote sales shows that they were doing it all for free, and were actively losing money if they were paying anything for the banknotes.

They were losing at least 9 cents on every one of those 99 cent orders. They were making 5 cents on the $1.15 orders and 14 cents on the $1.25 orders.

That is with no promotions, zero cost of goods, just 2 cents for an envelope, 64 cents for standard envelope shipping and then ebay fees and that is with 100 percent of customers living in areas without any sales tax to pay fees on.

As far as I can see the business model is lose money on every order and pray someone orders more than one item in a transaction so they actually make something.

I suggest taking a break, bulking out those worthless notes out and starting over with something that has a chance at making you minimum wage.

Re: I am done

Happy Birthday!

Considering most of your items sell for a buck or two it will be well worth it to not have the constant headache that comes with being a seller.   If you wish to continue or find a different platform, I recommend listing in lots so it's more worth your time.
