I Think Buyer Is Trying To Pressure Me For Some Cash Back

Hey

I just had a feeling this buyer was going to complain about something...

Sold him a "Open Box" Gaming Laptop in Mint condition.
Even upgraded Free shipping so he received it in 3 days.

So today he sends me a message saying in his words:

"Just received the laptop, all looks well and everything seems to run alright but it was really dirty inside and out.... Like snot on the back of the screen and on the keyboard and also dirty between the frame and touchpad. Otherwise im super happy with it and youve been nice to work with :)"

I message back saying it was super clean when i packed it and that it was only out of it's sleeve
when i took photo's. Also said i was more than happy for him to return it for a full refund.

His Reply:

"It's fine, thought maybe you could do something for me 🙂 I cleaned it all off with a wet rag then wiped with microfiber cloth"

So "do something for me" i take as give him some money back?

Thanks All...

I would have just ignored the first message, but since it's now a conversation, I'd offer him 5% off his next purchase with you and see what happens.

Do not give a partial.

Keep repeating "I'm sorry you aren't happy. Return for refund."

Lather, rinse, repeat.....as often as is necessary.

Ignore him, move on with your life.  Any further contact initiated on your part will just encourage him.

Don't respond to any more of his messages. He's just fishing for money. Let him fish elsewhere.

I would block so there wouldn't be a next time!

I would reply back that I don't  know about you but I always clean everything I get before using it because you never know who had cootie bugs that touched the item. Their cat could have used the litter box and then walked on the item. It's something buyers should be routinely doing.

CLeaning it tells me they want to keep it but at a cheaper price. Stick to your guns and say return it if you're not happy with your purchase.

Yeah, that makes a lot more sense.

Well, he DID wipe it with a "microfiber" cloth. That's gotta count for something, I expect. What kind of heartless monster are you, anyway??

I never give partial refunds, if they don't, want, or like something, then they can send it back and get all their money.
