One of the problems that new sellers who start trading on eBay have is suspending their account when they first list. So there is no exact reason for this. What to follow to avoid suspending your account when first listing. Have a nice day everyone

The only reason an account will be suspended is if you list a prohibited item, or have not provided correct and verifiable details. Read up on selling before you list
As you are in Sri Lanka
Please contact your local government body to find out the rules now surrounding this problem many Sri Lankan sellers are experiencing. Paypal was illegal for receiving funds in your country and you need to check that it is not the same with Payoneer. No one here can really help you as we have no control over the money laundering and anti terrorism laws regarding acceptance of foreign funds in your country.

Don't use Pay Pal to receive payments when your country doesn't allow it.
Read the policies and learn what you can and can't sell.

You must be enrolled in whatever payment processor your government allows in order for you to receive payouts from eBay when you sell something. I believe the current payment system offered in Sri Lanka is Payoneer. eBay may not be allow you to list until your account with Payoneer is verified.
EBAY HAS PARTNERED WITH PAYONEER TO STREAMLINE YOUR PAYOUTS
You'll have to consult with Payoneer for any further details.

I don't know if it still applies but you used to have to have 10 domestic sales before you could sell Internationally.

Most sellers do not get their accounts suspended. However, sellers in Sri Lanka who fudge their PayPal details often do.

While we do sympathize with the average seller in SriLanka just wanting to sell a few items, there is nothing that we can do here. You appear not to be the only one as many of your countrymen have expressed the same concern.
We all had hope that Payoneer would be in talks with your government but it looks like there is still ongoing problems regarding money laundering and terrorism funding. Payoneer is taking only a legit business that is registered with your country.
Many of your countrymen were using PayPal under a different location to get around this and they ended up being caught in the end.
Why don't you personally call Payoneer and talk with a representative there to discuss some options and concerns.

I do not understand what you said. Explain a little more

Here you can read about all the other members talking about how they were suspended.

Of course reading ebays policies helps also...

Question... what made you think you were ready to sell? Many Sri Lankans are making the same mistake. We're flummoxed.

Gotta be from Sri Lanka.....
How to avoid account suspension on first listing?
The same way you avoid being suspended for your 2nd listing, your 3rd listing, you're 300th listing or your 3,000th listing ... follow the rules.

Just a guess, but methinks there may not be as many Sri Lankans trying to sell on eBay as the number of posters here suggests.
It is likely a small number of actual people behind all these posters. The type of question, the style of posting, is so similar that it is either a single person or an organized group.

No it doesn't apply and even though 'rule' has been around for years, new users have been able to list internationally for years. It's an odd rule considering many countries don't have ebay sites. For example, someone who lives in Sri Lanka would never be able to list on ebay if they needed 10 domestic (Sri Lankan) sales first. If they listed on .com they would not be able to ship only to Sri Lanka since anyone listing her HAS to ship to the US. It would be the same on any country's site.
