How many times per day can I relist the same item?

I'm planning to list some items for sale and I'm wondering if there's a limit on how many times per day I can relist the same items?  I want to refresh my listings every few hours, or at least once per day, so that I will always be at the top of "new item" searches.  Anyone have any experience with this?  I'm sure there is a software tool that does this.  Thanks for the help!

Re: How many times per day can I relist the same item?

You might be confusing ebay with another selling platform (PM) that encourages sellers to refresh their items several times a day and even encourages sellers to pay to have this done for them.  Ebay does not work that way.  Good luck.

Terrible idea. Of the 5 filters in the drop down box for searches New Listings is the one that buyers are least likely to use. I am not sure if I ever used that option in 25 years of using ebay and I do hundreds of searches a day.

The only people searching for new listings are looking for pricing errors or extremely underpriced items. If you are pricing your items correctly then they aren't selling off a new listings search.

Nope not a terrible idea. Of the 6 filters, the savvy buyers are choosing Newly Listed in their search for a particular item so they can be on top of any BIN listing at the right price that matches what they're looking for before someone else snatches it and poof it's gone. Anyone looking for a hot item, or any item for that matter, knows that their treasure won't last for long if the price is fixed and the price is right.  For example, anyone buying something specific for profit that's priced where they can flip it for a profit, such as scrap gold or silver, or for a valuable underpriced antique or collectible, knows that if they search on anything BUT newly listed, they will need a time machine to go back and see what they lost out on.
