Most of my listings ship First Class and I charge a set $4.50. What do i have to do? Change all my listings to ground Advantage? Will they automatically change? I've read everything I see on this and have no idea what the answers are.

Here is the part missing from the eBay announcement: If you ship First Class Package and you have checked calculated shipping and you have other shipping services available in the listing your listing will not automatically roll to Ground Advantage. If you want to maintain the same shipping for that listing you will have to do it manually. Which was discussed in great detail on the thread over the weekend. I think eBay pulled the plug on the thread because too much info, good info, was coming from Sellers that know what they are doing in regard to shipping and it was clear the eBay responders really had no clue of how this is going to work. We have 4200+ listings and will begin doing the manual work on the 15th. eBay should have a fix for this already worked out. eBay seems to have no issue working a wide range of ways to do promoted listing no reason that can't make this change over seamless, oh I forgot not eBay's style.

I'm aware, thank you. I tagged her again because of the posting shared from Facebook. It contradicts what she said.

What was posted was the rest of the conversation and was posted because "buyselljack2016" didn't think the first part of the conversation I posted meant what I had said. I clearly stated that it wasn't correct since Elizabeth had already said it wasn't. I apologize again if I added to the confusion. eBay for Business is always pretty knowledgeable and helpful to sellers so I don't understand how this information got so messed up. There has not been an official announcement from eBay saying this so I'm assuming now that it will have to manually be done. As I said before, I'm waiting until the 9th or after before making any changes then I'll know for sure exactly what I need to do.

Is there any official information yet on whether or not ebay has fixed this issue for sellers? Some of my listings have 1st class with flat rate shipping... but most have 1st class with calculated shipping and also priority and fedex options as well.
I still find it hard to believe that a simple piece of coding would not be able to convert the listings over to advantage.....it does not make sense.
I called merchant support but the agent seemed to not understand the situation and simply said everything should convert over automatically - she even laughed and said - "why wouldn't it". I tend to agree but it would also be nice to know what is going to actually happen this weekend.
1. will our listings with first class just cease to have first class and instead only have the other options?
2. will we have no shipping options?
3. is there a difference in what will happen if its 1st class flat rate or calculated?
4. if first class was the only option- will listings have no shipping after Sunday?
5. why do we have to deal with this?- isnt this what we pay fees to our "partner" ebay for ?

1. eBay has said that we will have 30 days to convert listings from First Class to Ground Advantage, which strongly implies that First Class will still appear in listings, for 30 days.
eBay has also said that sellers will be able to purchase Ground Advantage labels for listings that still say First Class.
So IMHO the sensible thing to do is to just wait to see what happens on Sunday.

Good morning @mam98031. As @nanniestreasurechest mentioned, that was the rest of the conversation, and not a new comment. I hope this helps.

I agree- I'm not touching anything until i have to! The other concern to bulk editing is that with calculated shipping- even though its first class, every listing has a different weight. are the dimensions tied to the service or the listing?.....also if we change it to advantage what order will ebay put it in the shipping options. We have noticed that ebay shows the first shipping option you select on the listing and not the cheapest option......so if this is all done after the fact - will the cheaper advantage not be shown to potential buyers because it was added after fedex and priority?

I am finding that my active listings show delivery as First Class, and the shipping as Standard.
When I go into the listing tool to change shipping to Ground Advantage, I get several options as shown in the attached screenshot. The price for Parcel Select / Ground Advantage is the same as First Class when the listing is live. Why, oh why, did they keep First Class as a choice on the listing tool and lump Ground Advantage with Parcel Select? Why couldn't they have just deleted First Class and leave out Parcel Select as part of Ground Advantage? I was expecting to see Ground Advantage as the only option since it is supposed to replace First Class, Parcel Select and Retail Ground. So, now all my listings will be updated from First Class to Parcel Select / Ground Advantage as the delivery choice instead of First Class, which looks like a downgrade.
I did find that when printing shipping labels last night for items sold on July 8 that the labels printed correctly with USPS Ground Advantage and a big letter G.

I agree the name looks like a downgrade, even if the service isn't. I feel USPS wants to fail or they are paying the big bucks to the wrong people.

Maybe because eBay programmers never do the simple, logical thing? I agree with you: the terms First Class and Parcel Select should have just disappeared from the listing tool as options for shipping packages.

I'd love to be proven wrong, but I think the real answer here is that the eBay programmers are often (if not mostly) offshore contract workers who may have only a passing familiarity with what they're working on.
For example, to this day, whenever I buy a Shipping label here, I'll get an emailed confirmation ("Your eBay label is ready") showing the buyer's address in European format, even though it's a U.S. address. As a result, the ZIP code appears before the City name, and the State abbreviation is completely missing. e.g.
Homer Simpson
742 Evergreen Terrace
12345-6789 Springfield
United States
If you don't know your buyer's home state, you'll need to Google the ZIP code.
This is the sort of dumb thing that would normally be caught in the first code review, but for some odd reason, it has gone unrepaired for years. Hopefully the transition to Ground Advantage (which itself strikes me as a really dumb product name, but that's the fault of the USPS, not eBay) will go a bit more smoothly with no loose ends.

That brings up the Bulk Editor.
Don't know if it will remove promotions as I don't use Promoted.
I got to that point and I'm feeling really dumb!
When I click to change shipping policy, it brings up all my first class options but I can't figure out how to change to and add ground advantage.

If you haven't already tried, you can go to Business Policies, if you have a default first class flat shipping rate policy for all them listings you can edit it over to ground advantage , that will apply to all those flat rate listings.
