Most of my listings ship First Class and I charge a set $4.50. What do i have to do? Change all my listings to ground Advantage? Will they automatically change? I've read everything I see on this and have no idea what the answers are.

@nanniestreasurechest wrote:According to Ebay for Business if you only have the one 1st Class shipping on your listing, Ebay will automatically update it. But if you have a secondary USPS shipping on that listing such as 1st Class and Priority you will have to manually change your 1st Class to the Ground Advantage. I'm not aware that there has been an official announcement of this and have only seen it from Ebay for Business. I think it's best not to change anything at this time and wait to see what happens on 9th. Everyone has 30 days from the 9th to make any changes they need to make. Many seem to be jumping the gun on this and may be causing more work for themselves than is needed.
Do you have a link to where Ebay said this?

@mam98031 It was in a private ebay facebook group where the moderator had asked eBay for Business about the first class. I can't link it because it's a private group so unless you are a member of the group you wouldn't be able to see it. I took a screen shot of what eBay for Business said and I posted that in one of my previous comments. If you are on facebook you can join the group. It's called "eBay Sellers Helping Each Other".

Thank you for the information. I'll see if we can get at it another way.
There seems to be an announcement made in Facebook that many of us don't use regarding Ebay auto updating GA on listings if you only have the one shipping option on your listings. Would you please confirm this or give us more information on it please.

Hi @fern*wood, @mam98031, and @nanniestreasurechest. To provide clarity, all listings with First Class Packaging will need to be manually updated by the seller, however bulk editing is a great option for that! Any listings with Parcel Select Ground; even when combined with another shipping service, will be automatically updated by our system. Hope this helps!

Bit confused.
All of my listings are either USPS Priority or FedEx Ground.
But, when I'm making a label (here on ebay)....I can choose anything from 1st class to UPS next day.
I simply choose what suits me or the customer best.
Never had any complaints related to the method used -vs- the method in the listing.
Why change anything?

😟so, eBay for business is posting wrong or misleading info.

Thank you, elizabeth@ebay for clarifying because Ebay for Business said something different yesterday. And I apologize to the sellers on here for repeating it but I thought it was pretty solid coming from them. I'm still waiting until the 9th to make any changes to mine.

Please don't apologize @nanniestreasurechest. Thank you so much for sharing the information you received, and I appreciate your openness to the clarification 😊 Have a great night!

The way I read the screen shot...........
it does not say that 1st Class will update if it is the only service offered.
it says that 1st Class with secondary USPS shipping will have to be updated manually. It says nothing more than that.
The assumption that if it does not have secondary USPS shipping that it will automatically update, is just that, an assumption. Not being "A", does not always equal being "B".
Again, that is how I read it. I read it with only what was stated, and with no assumption of what was meant, other than what was actually written 😁
It could mean that, but is does not say that.
It seems like it should update automatically, but ....................... this is eBay 😂
I already bulk edited my 1st Class to "standard", so I cannot confirm/deny.
(I do not use calculated 1st Class)

My listings with choice of Parcel Select or Priority have changed.

The post #38, which was stating what ebay for business was telling sellers does clearing state something different than the ebay announcement you are referring to. I guess ebay for business was wrong, though.

@buyselljack2016 This screenshot is the rest of the conversation but apparently it's not correct. It was pretty
clear what they were saying. I've now learned it's best to wait for official announcements of any changes. Too much misinformation gets out there.

OK, that statement does clearly state that it will convert automatically and stands on it's own as a statement.
The other screen shot, as far as I am concerned, did not 😁

Your response please. This is getting so confusing. Much more than it needs to be.
