The seller protection is a complete jock!!! The customer service doesn't help at all. There's no proper investigation on any case at all. You speak with a manager, you're pointing out on suspicion details, and.... of course they make a decision to buyer's favor.

"There's no proper investigation on any case at all."
Here's the disgusting thing about that statement - When the site just automatically takes the buyers word and does not investigate these cases, it frees up the SAME SCAMMERS and THIEVES to just continue doing the same thing OVER AND OVER again. So basically, they can never be caught... Site doesn't seem to care - just more fake sales to give the appearance that all is well here in my most humble opinion...

Those jocks...
Do you have more REAL information so maybe folks here can help, or are you ranting and venting?
Just a few things to keep in mind, though...
There is NO REAL Ebay customer service these days
AI does not investigate. Everything is automated
There is NO REAL Ebay customer service these days
Ebay wants to keep buyer's happy

Can't imagine how a buyer can get scammed with the lenient Returns and Money Back Rules ebay has......
unless the buyer did not follow the protocols and made an error....

Items are coming from Ukraine?...which in the USA it is a country currently blocked from purchases.
And you have a eBay ID listed in the USA...so that's probably the problem.

You Didn't really provide anything other than dissatisfaction with CS which is understandable.
No details about the actual issue.
Also 'suspicious details' is never going to cut it.

We need more details about your case.

What specific seller protection did you not receive? If you think ebay will investigate every return to check for accuracy, you will be disappointed. Ebay isn't interested in doing that and I can't imagine the man power that would be needed and cost to sellers to do so on every return out there They have procedures and pretty much stick to them.

Did the buyer file an INAD and you contacted Ebay?
Did Ebay refund the buyer from your account and let the buyer keep the item?

Yes, I've contacted ebay, explained everything and even pointed on details that clearly shows it's a scam. I spoke with 6 or 7 ebay agents, 2 of them are supervisors. The last one just turned me down, keep saying "we have no option for help in your case ".

Hi @megasport
What happened? I did not read any details that point to what happened.
11-30-2024 07:41 AM
No, I'm not renting and venting. I lost $500, because no proper investigation, even after I spoke to many agents and provided as many details as possible that prove it's a scam. But we, as sellers, depends on decision of some unknown person that you can't even speak with.
I'm not sure if it's a good idea to provide all details of this scam here, as not only honest sellers can read this.
Anybody knows if there's a way to get in contact with some top menegment?
Thank you

There is no way to speak with eBay upper management nor would they do anything even if you did. They leave the day to day issues to those on lower levels. You are welcome to Private message me or other members the details if you want. I "get it" that you do not want to expose a scam publicly, that makes sense although from what I understand there are plenty of published scams on the internet.
There are some scams that are indefensible for Sellers and yes, many of us fear those happening to us. Scams in my mind are no different than stealing but sadly there is no infrastructure to catch and prosecute scammers like there is for shoplifting or breaking and entering and stealing from a home or store.
Really sorry it happened.

This makes it that much more confusing since all you active and sold listings show the items as being in the Ukraine. You need to provide a bit more information about what happened. What item was this, how were you scammed? Did the buyer open an INR or NAD case with eBay or their CC company. Did you respond to the case and if so how?
If you are in the US is the item in the US or the Ukraine? How did you ship it and where from? If it came from the Ukraine did it go through customs?
