shoppingmom has managed to wade through all of ebays changes and policies and create a successful business for herself with few problems and feels that without ebay her business would flounder. While I personally do not have the depth of her trusting ebay attitude, she has made it work for her and if she feels that going to ebay open will benefit her, I can't get on her about it.
But having been to ebay meeting (with Patty) and had to listen to the bobbing and weaving that ebay does and seeing the end result, and I believe that she can judge for herself the good and bad that she can hear there, then come back and report accordingly. But I can diss ebay about a meeting that seems to only be a cheerleading fundraiser for themselves
Thanks @retrose1
I will be posting as I ask them.... then when I come back we can have another discussion more or less like the one we had when we ( you and me and others came back from that meeting )

The FVF fee is charged on the total buyer payment, exclusive of sales tax. No, eBay does not credit the FVF on partial refunds. Paypal does, except for the 30-cent transaction fee.
Bottom line: Quote the correct postage or send a revised invoice BEFORE the buyer pays anything.
But I do believe this scenario is a good example of why required IPR is a bad idea. Presenting the issue as a BUYER complaint is the best advice I can give. When BUYERS have difficulty navigating eBay, can't see full descriptions, object to cluttered pages, get upset about receiving counterfeit merchandise, can't figure out how to pay, and so on, then eBay is far more likely to listen. Disgusted buyers, threatening to never buy on eBay again, are the best weapon we sellers have!

They were books and naturally I refund the over payment(s) on shipping via PayPal. However, I don't see any reduction or refund info on eBay's side. eBay takes nearly 10% of shipping paid. When something similar happened to me in the past, I could see an icon indicating that partial refund was made and therefore assumed that eBay would credit me with the refunded amount(s). Not seeing anything this time. Just saying, if I've refunded over $300 for over payment of postage/shipping costs, shouldn't I get a credit for that .... or is eBay still gonna get nearly 10% of the shipping fees paid? Little worried, as every penny counts.
Maybe he tried that before with other sellers and ran into the 'only 10 items at a time' and 'the rest get removed from your cart' problem feature.

please remember Vegas is use to dry hot weather. So 24% is humid to us. That is just today. To you it will be heaven!
I am from California. In Vegas for 10 years now. Love it here. NO FLEAS!
I have been to India twice. That is the worst humidity & heat I have ever felt. Looking up India for today, humidity is 87% with temps 82 at 1am.
My daughter just moved to Florida for the 2nd time. I know she has talked about the humidity there, but loves living there.

I always reply this issue with what I was told long ago.
add to all ur listings.
"payment upon pick up"
along with PayPal and ur buyers shouldn't be forced into an IPR.

@timemachine777 are you using the listing form on eBay?
I tried too, after they announce TL was being retired. Back in Aug I had no choice but to use the seller hub tool as TL wouldn't sync with eBay. I use Win XP and MS stopped doing updates for it, and at the time I didn't know that, that was the issue.
Anyway. I tried using seller hub to do the listings but, just way too many problem to deal with, and it took forever to create a listing. I ended up creating a reg key to trick MS into giving me the updates so that TL could sync up with eBay. That has solved my problem for now.

I was born in Jersey City, but I also have relatives in Newark, Elizabeth, and Kearny.
That says it all.
HEY- Watch it Pally. Don't be dissin Joisey, hah?
Hey, yo! I only be dissin' the cities that give Joisey a bad name! Hey, Gergg (*giggle*), how long you been on the wrong coast?
Gergg has been in Oregon twenty years in January. I miss NYC but can't afford it.
The Western trajectory has been NYC-> NJ-> Ohio-> Idaho-> Oregon. Next stop should be Hawaii but I can't afford that, either.
Guess I'll always be an East Coaster at heart...
You can always skip over it and head for Guam. An if that's too small, the Philippines is a lot bigger. You can do some spying there.

Okay, this is making no sense to me at all. I didn't get a chance to invoice the buyer. He bought 40 books and paid. He bought 40 more and paid. He bought 11 more and paid. He bought 2 more and paid. Thought I was halucinating when I saw all the e-mails in my inbox. I didn't have a chance to invoice with reduced shipping. So, are you saying that eBay is taking from me nearly 10% of the shipping he paid ... 90% of which I have refunded? How can that even be legal? Have a similar thing happening to me today. Woman purchased an item and then messages me that she wants to pick up. Before I can even answer her, she sends full payment including shipping. She's going to pick the item up today and I will then refund the postage cost via PayPal. So does eBay get to take nearly 10% of the shipping fees paid even though I will be refunded them to her? Again, isn't that illegal?
