I find it bothersome that people can not leave feedback. eBay as a company should understand how hard it is to make a profit with the shipping cost going up exponentially. Why do you not remind the buyers for their feedback? I, as a seller, follow the rules and I have 100% reviews in the positive. For every positive remark I get, I also get crickets... Nothing. Why is the onus on me to beg for feedback? It is not good for my business to have to beg for some kind of response. Doing so could cause a negative response. I find it frustrating that you need this to grow your business and your reputation.you can 100% feedback in the positive. but if you are missing feedback from half of your sales I feel like a dog chasing its tail. I am not selling to you eBay. but can you give me some kind of solution to this problem? If I forget to pay my bill. I am sure I would hear about it. If a buyer or a seller forget feedback should be a trigger from you to clear all transactions, Meaning feedback. It takes 2 seconds with the templates available. I will not go to beg for feedback, I am paying for my use of Bay. This should be part of your oversite and understood rules of this site. Frustrated Findsomine

Feedback is only important to you. It is voluntary, and is not important to 66% of buyers. It is not important to your service metrics. Give good service and count your $ is all you are required to worry/think about selling here.
When buyers could only receive positive feedback, even the scammers, it became evident that feedback is not important.
The true definition of insanity is to keep doing the same thing over and over again, expecting a different result.
Stop worrying about it. Nobody cares.

You should not be asking/begging for feedback, you might not like what you get. Ebay is not concerned with your need for feedback and they are not going to upset their buyers by forcing them to leave feedback or by automatically leaving feedback for them. Keep consistently leaving feedback for your buyers and the feedback will come. I leave feedback right after I have printed the shipping label and I get about 55-60%.

Unfortunately, unless they've made a major change, eBay DOES pester buyers for feedback a month after their purchase, and you can't opt out of that. I wish they wouldn't - it's supposed to be voluntary, stop spamming my buyers.

^^^^^^^^ agree.
I have one seller that I have not left feedback for. Got the reminder from eBay. Possibly even twice.
I am not happy enough to leave a (+). I an not unhappy enough to leave a (-)
If it were the seller pressuring me to leave feedback it would happen.

Yep, ebay definitely sends feedback reminders...........

Also, getting feedback or not doesn't affect sales, so using best practices and having good items will grow your sales no matter what your response rate. I leave feedback when I ship and have about a 40% return feedback rate, which is probably on par with the rest of the internet. Everybody and their dog and cat wants feedback now from just about everything and everywhere, and I think people just get sick of it.

I also only get about a 40% feedback rate even though I always leave positive feedback to the buyer upon shipping the item. But I think my feedback is a good for sales as many buyers do look. I know I look and go with the better feedback even if the price is slightly higher.

You can opt out of feedback reminder e-mails. This preference has been available for years.
Account Settings --> Communication Preferences --> Feedback (near the bottom)

Isn't that to remind the SELLER to leave feedback? The last time I asked (admittedly sometime ago), eBay itself sending emails to the buyer to leave feedback was non-negotiable. It would be great if that changed.

Mine is set on 'none' - I double checked, but periodically a buyer will write and say they got a reminder and sorry they're late with their feedback, though its been a while.
One thing I can't find now is the paragraph that talked about the selling 'flow' and an entry that said something about "Did your buyer not leave feedback? Don't worry, we send a reminder 30 days after the sale" (slight paraphrase).

That setting turns off feedback reminders sent to you on your buying account. There is no way to turn off feedback reminders sent to buyers from the seller account settings. If a buyer doesn't want to receive feedback reminders they have the power to turn them off.
Payment reminders can be turned off in seller settings, but feedback reminders can't. Odd, right?

I understand why it is important to you. Assuming this is your selling ID it's important to have more positive feedback as it could decrease the impact of any possible negative feedback received. Unfortunately feedback is voluntary and only 30-35% of buyers bother leave feedback. Therefore, the only other way to increase your feedback numbers is by buying more.

That's what I was looking for, so no, we cannot turn off that 'feature' and our buyers continue to be pestered.

If you are begging for feedback please stop doing so. It is a buyer's choice to leave a review. How many establishments to you do business with monthly (restaurants, stores, movies, internet sites, etc. Do you leave feedback for each of those ? Not all buyers are interested in leaving feedback and many only do it when they are unhappy.
