How do others handle feedback?
If you sell an item, do you give immediate feedback? Or do you wait for the buyer to confirm that they are happy with the item? Like a handshake.
I know it doesn't really matter as buyers can only receive "positive" feedback. Just wondering.

I leave feedback as soon as I ship an item. I ship, send a thank you note, and then leave fb. I have tiers of fb, so I don't like using the auto feature. Newbies get a fast payment; look forward to working with you again. FB over 100 gets a little more detailed and repeat customers get the best, including being a valued customer.
I always address neutral and negs left either with the customer directly, or in a follow up comment. Thankfully my system works well for me.

I generally wait until the item is out for delivery and then leave it. Yeah I use the canned feedback 99% of the time too. I don't worry about whether or not the buyer leaves feedback. They will or they won't. Sometimes I get it from most buyers, sometimes it seems like 1 out of 20. I would never contact a buyer asking for FB. It just isn't that important.

I leave the same feedback for every buyer and its done after I package up the order. I include the ship date in the feedback as it lets them know all is good. It also helps me track things down later as if someone says they didn't get something, I can look back and see if anyone else from that days shipping got theirs. Also having the date in the feedback is good for when someone emails asking if it was shipped yet as then the answer can be - Yes just as I left in the feedback for you.
