FEEDBACK DISASTER

Buyer left us a neutral feedback stating the steering wheel was not leather. Buyer never contacted us in any way and did not use our free returns.  I figured I would call in to ebay since it is in fact leather.  I offered to provide the rep with the manufacturer's website, with whom we are an authorized dealer, for the said steering wheel showing it is in fact leather. Rep didn't want the information and said it didn't matter because the buyer has the "right" to leave their opinion.

What is going on Ebay?  Facts no longer matter and buyer's "opinions" even when they are factually incorrect trump the irrefutable facts.

FEEDBACK DISASTER

Feedback IS a buyer’s opinion of the transaction and doesn’t qualify for removal. The neutral feedback you received also doesn’t violate any feedback policies. You’ve already responded to it.

Move on, there’s nothing you can do about it.

FEEDBACK DISASTER

You have a stellar 100% feedback with thousands of satisfied buyers.

I wouldn't let one neutral feedback out of thousands of positive replies worry you.

The few neutral feedbacks you have received have not affected your rating or selling obviously.

You replied appropriately and professionally to the buyer, they can return and a receive a refund.

No big loss.

Unfortunately, that is the way it is, and has been on eBay for as long as I can remember.

I'm not looking for "advice".  The fact of the matter is that facts do not matter to ebay.  Buyers can say whatever they want and it doesn't matter at all to ebay.  There is irrefutable evidence that this feedback is not factual.

Feedback should also be factual.  Just because someone believes it, that doesn't make it a fact.  I'm not looking for "advice".  The fact of the matter is that facts do not matter to ebay.  Buyers can say whatever they want and it doesn't matter at all to ebay.  There is irrefutable evidence that this feedback is not factual.

I'm surprised you weren't aware that buyers aren't required to contact sellers before leaving feedback.

I don't disagree that it would have been nice to get a message from the buyer if there was a question about the material but it isn't a prerequisite prior to leaving their right or wrong opinion.

You’re really making more out of this than is necessary, it’s not harming your feedback percentage or sales. That’s my opinion.

This speakes volumes, undermines seller trust & loyalty

Have you presented this situation to ebay on Facebook for their review ?

I understand that such feedback stings, but it is not a "disaster."  Neutral feedback does not affect your feedback score

Your replies to the neutrals are brief, calm, and factual, which assures potential buyers that you will be easy to deal with should problems arise.

You've been selling here for many years and potential buyers can see that, by any measure they might use, your record and reputation are stellar.

You say that you do not want advice, and that's fine.  Were I to give it, despite that, I'd say:  Just do what you've always done, which is being polite and professional even when a buyer is a bit of a jerk a turkey a headache dead wrong a slightly problematic but valued customer.

It's not a fact that the buyer received what you claim.

It's an assumption based on your reputation that you are being truthful.

Ebay did not verify what you sent, there is no facts. Dishonest sellers could say the same thing. Does that make it facts? No.

This isn't against you personally, but your 'facts' argument just fails.

Why are you worrying about this kind of malicious attack?
Reply to the feedback by stating the truth and defending your reputation.
I treat every NFB as an advertising opportunity.
I may even resort to slandering in response, if necessary, against those alien clowns from uncivilized areas, just to scare away any upcoming low-brow buyers.

Once or twice in the past we were denied feedback removal but requested a second time and finally got a capable rep to remove it. Best of luck.

I agree with you.

Feedback should be factual.

So you think ebay should hire fact checkers to address avery single neutral or negative feedback left for sellers?

I will say that your reply to that steering wheel feedback was excellent.

I would have no hesitation whatsoever buying one from you.
