I agree , Pay Pal has worked fine  for me as a buyer and a seller  super fast and easy  unlike 1969  🙂  . I don't see any rational reason e bay would even think about doing away with it .  Tulips

Re: Elimination of Paypal

DOES anyone here know whats going on over at the snobby craft site? With managed payments. Go read the forums. I dare you.  It will keep you busy for days.New managed payment system. Money not getting where its supposed to go. Pay pal is an option, but it's a Horror. Fees taken off the top.  extra fees, unexplained fees. Sellers not relisting and closing . And the thread with 3000 complaints has been taken down. Theres a new post every few minutes. Imagine a site a hundred times larger. Think it's gonna work?

Re: Elimination of Paypal

I want to clarify my last post in case anyone mis-understands. It's NOT pay pal. Its the mangaed payment system. Direct Pay pal goes, I go too. Pay pal is the only thing that Does work. iIf you notice even Wally world has started to advertise they take pp.

Re: Elimination of Paypal

You can also put cash in or take it out of PP at WM now (for a small fee)

Re: Elimination of Paypal

There is so much stress these days, I wonder how anyone survives it. Even when things are going good, rocks will come and mess it up. It's almost as if they are not happy until they mess with a system that was workin fine. But? I do understand, it's all about getting their grubby fingers on every last penny.

Re: Elimination of Paypal

I am wondering about all of this.

If managed payment transfers money to your bank account on a regular (or daily) basis, how will your bank respond?

Right now banks do not charge a fee for electronic transfers into your account.  But if they get so many transfers, what will stop them from impossing a processing fee for each transaction?

I assume nothing will stop them.

Re: Elimination of Paypal

You can opt out of managed payment after you started using the system? I thought once you opted in you were stuck with it? LMK.

Re: Elimination of Paypal

Ebay will profit 2.5% of every sale through this change.

Re: Elimination of Paypal

Those non-payers were most likely PayPal only customers. If I had made a purchase and was not allowed PayPal, I would not be paying also. However, I would have cancelled the sale and explained to you why I did.

You should send these buyers a message and just ask them if this is the reason or not. Better to know than to wonder about it.
