I suddenly started to see this abomination again on all items, including mine. What's going on, I thought they gave up this demented idea long time ago????

I just want to say "EBAY I AM NOT YOUR LAB RAT" ....
Do you see it on mine? Because I don't.

Yes, I see it on yours. I've even seen it on a few listings where there was nothing in the section for description but the See Full Item Description button. I need to find those again and see what their actual listings looked like because I didn't click the button at the time I saw it.

eBay put a cookie on your computer. Just clear your cache an cookies, and see if it goes away, or try a different browser.

OMG I got this on all my listings, too. Worst part was that their [not] smart algorithm that apparently tries to deduce the short description from my original/full description is hilariously bad - it produced sort of of a chopped-word-salad of words (sort of like a spam website does to make it look like a legit site). Utterly unreadable and non-sensical.
This is truly awful stuff if it reflects Ebay's mindset. But I suppose we shouldn't be surprised at this point...

I'd rather give birth to another baby than clear my cache and cookies every time eBay does something stupid like this.
When I clear Cache and Cookies then I have to reset all my gmail accounts, reset my complete TV schedule from TV Guide. re-set my various Facebook log-ins .... reset my online weather report, etc etc etc.
I did think I might just try deleting the Ebay cookies only and see if that clears it up but I'm still doing some research on this see full item description to see the various problems it is creating in different types of listings ...

They're affecting everyones listings, However, only some people can see it, while others like myself don't see it. Your part of eBay's beta test.

Wouldn't the people SEEING it be part of the beta test, not necessarily just the seller? Does that make sense?

So when you look on your phone is the only photo you see the one eBay hosted photo? If you click the Read More do you see all the other photos that this seller has in their description? I don't have a smartphone so I can't look at anything to determine what mobile sees.

Yes. Only the people that are part of the test, whether your a buyer, or seller, can see it reduced, and the link.

Everything would go MUCH smoother if they moved the 'place bid' button after the description and before the 'bidding' section.
Sorry for being logical.

eBay never ever really "gives up" on a bad idea. They will always implement it one way or another.

I am not sure if this is the case with all of you but for me it was only showing that button in firefox but not chrome or edge. I was talking to ebays support while I was checking this thinking that it may be some sort of flag on the website directely related to firefox and was told. "This is not something that is detrimental to the website so our tech support will probably just close the ticket if I were to make one. Clicking on an extra button to see the description is an inconvience but not an actual problem" **bleep**...
