I've had two instances this week where customers were trying to purchase multiple items from my store but the shipping was high. I told them to use the REQUEST TOTAL FROM SELLER button and I would send them an invoice for combined shipping. ( I realize you can do also combine after but I hate doing the whole refund thing. ) Both customers didn't see a button. I know they are fooling with the site, so just checking to see if they removed it.

It doesn't exist on the app and never has. Your buyers were probably using the app.
Edit: Apparently eBay recently added the option to the app.

Using a desktop browser, I added two of your items to my cart, and I did see the request total option displayed.
I checked using the eBay app, and I did see a "Request combined shipping" option displayed in the app -- which may be new. In the past, I think the option did not appear.
I did not see that option when using a mobile browser in mobile mode or classic mode, however.

Woah, really? I have to check this out when I have time later. I didn't think we'd ever see this. That's definitely new.
Who is it that always had a problem with lost sales due to no request total in the app .... @toomuchstuffagain35 , I think?

Thank You @eburtonlab for checking. Yes, they were using a mobile version. Not sure if it was the app. I'll know to ask next time.

I know I have @wastingtime101 . The button used to be right there so it made it easier for customers. I could direct them to the button that worked every time. Now seems like even experienced buyers are strugling with it. The whole refund thing gets out of hand to do it every time. Plus Ebay doesn't always figure shipping out correctly when items are in their cart. Which I understand, but now it seems the button isn't showing for all customers. I wish the Ebay team would listen to their experienced sellers on what works and what doesn't. I love this site but it's doing too many updates at once. We get one thing fixed then 5 break that are needed.

They did? Do they not think this would be worth an announcement being as how we've been asking for it for YEARS?

I'm one of them, but I think the one who was most affected was a hot wheels seller?

I'm confirming seeing the same on the iOS app. You'd think eBay would have put this in the October Seller Update.
Why isn't eBay shouting this from the rooftops devon@ebay ? Sellers and buyers both have been asking eBay to add a request total link in the app shopping cart for so many years. I didn't think it would ever happen.
Can you tell us if that same wording, "Want to save on shipping with this seller? Ask the seller to ship items together." appears for all sellers?
Specifically, if the seller has automatic combined shipping rules set up, that language would be misleading buyers to think they can get an additional discount.
The link is good, but the text we can do without.

Woah, really?
It was a surprise to me, too. I was all set to respond that the app did not support combined shipping requests -- glad I actually checked.

Requesting a total price is disabled when EBAY does the shipping; they will earn less on whipping, so they are damaging the seller.
The best way is to not use EBAY.

@wirkaholic for me, once the items are in the cart, u can request total from there
Generally, you can pay for all of the items in your cart together, even if they're from different sellers, by selecting Go to checkout.
If you'd rather pay one seller at a time, select Pay only this seller.
There are a few situations where you'll have to check out separately:

@wastingtime101 Thank you so much for the screen shot! That helped me to see what they see. I just don't understand why two diffent customers this week said they didn't see it. Maybe it was just added? I'm OK with it if it does automatically show up. I just want it to be visible to everyone. Maybe there is a version people are using where it doesn't. I feel like were in the Ebay Multiverse....lol. I know there is a problem with Facebook check-in here at the store. It's doesn't work properly on certain carriers or phones. Maybe it's something like that.

I didn't test on my phone or tablet browsers, but according to eburtonlab's test, he wasn't seeing the request total link on mobile browsers.
So it's there on computer browsers and on the app, but it's not there when using a browser on a phone or tablet.

Thank you @stuff4divas That was super helpful too. I'm saving the wording to send to customers. Maybe it will help.
