Do you ever suggest things to sellers or point out errors in their listing?

An experienced  seller with over 200,000 feedback has a item listed.

It comes in three different colors.

In the item description he has:

"If you don't indicate what color you want a random color will be sent".

Isn't that just asking for trouble?

Why not make it a variations listing?

On the same listing I also noticed a misspelled word in the title.

He has "borad" instead of "board".

As a fellow seller I feel like messaging the seller and pointing these things out ... or is that too nosey/pushy?

I have done it a lot, but not for spelling errors or things of that nature, it's usually discrepancies in the listing.

I will put it like a question from a buyer, your title states this, but the description or item specifics states something else, or your photo shows this size, but your item specifics has this size.

Which is correct? 

The seller usually responds back thanking me and letting me know what is correct and they fix their listing.

I always point out listing title errors. Most sellers are appreciative. I know I'd want to be told of an error.

Three times now I have contacted a seller who had duplicate listings for an obviously OOAK item. Never got so much as a response .

I've gotten a few notes over the years about errors (or suggestions).  Happy to get them and some were valid.   You can find many of the Barbara Bush "Memoirs" with the printed signature being sold as "signed copies."  I think some of these "errors" are there to mislead buyers.  The unsigned copies are worthless... the signed not much better.

I collect diecast and if I see a seller describe the car with the wrong brand or name , I will let them know.  The Hot Wheels 1996 Mustang is totally different from the Matchbox 1996 Mustang.   Chevy never made the Torino, etc. etc.  Or if they write something completely wrong about the car,  I do email them like if they write that a car is vintage and I see China on the base, I let them know.  The good ones thank me.  The scammers that like to sell new cars are as original vintage cars from the 1960s  respond nasty or don't respond at all.  I let it go. I can't keep hounding them to make the correction.

I do not nit-pick on spelling.  It's easy to flip letters while typing.

If I see an obvious error, I sometimes give them a heads up to save them a headache later on. I have had other sellers save me some trouble before, and absolutely appreciate it.

Google search ignores punctuation - what it looks for is text strings. The problem with using slash marks is it duplicates URL naming conventions and a good many procedures - that can be remedied by having a space before and after the slash mark, but now one is just burning title space.  Everything I've studied in SEO best practices has said to leave the 'creative' punctuation alone and adhere more closely to speech.
