"How typical of eBay problem solutions shift the problem and the work to the seller to handle. They are the ones that provide the EDD but want no part of taking any responsibility for it when things go wrong and man have they gone wrong at the moment"

"We’re managing estimated delivery dates, continuing to give sellers credit for meeting their stated handling time, and advising buyers to anticipate potential delays."

How we’re protecting you during the holidays
Late deliveries this holiday season will not impact your seller performance rating as long as you continue to meet the expectations you set in your listings. You receive credit for shipping on time when any one of the following happens:
- Tracking shows a physical carrier scan any time within your stated handling time
- Buyer answers “Yes” to item arrived on-time when leaving feedback
- Tracking shows a delivery scan within the latest delivery date for the shipping service selected

If you hand delivered, did you mark it as shipped?
Sorry I don’t really understand. My Magic 8 ball isn’t working to decipher your issue.

Ebay marks it as shipped, when you buy a label through the seller portal.
Ask again.

Notice there is no reference to sellers "not losing money" or no recourse for a seller to get paid after a parcel arrives and the buyer has already been refunded by the system. They just don't give you performance "dings". You can still lose the product and the money the buyer paid for same. Same old.

Correct. ebay says its our fault they lied to our customers with junk estimated delivery dates.
Our shipping policies are simply ignored, handling times don't matter, and despite constant complaints about ebay's constant lying to buyers with bogus estimated delivery dates, nothing has changed.
Remember everyone, its our fault ebay is dishonest. No such thing as personal accountability when it comes to ebay's poor decision making and blatant ignorance to the issues affecting sellers. ebay's own incompetence is always everyone elses fault.

Is that information provided to the buyer PRIOR to them bidding?

1/. Which means nothing in South Florida when Mail Carriers refuse to scan package/s, and your Post Offices only allow Pre-Paid pkgs. to be dropped off on their back dock, no one there to scan it, and they are told NOT to scan anything dropped off, and the 1st scan is 4 days later when it arrives to the Processing Center, well beyond your handling time, and you can't go inside the PO to get a scan or receipt for proof they have it, they refuse to.
2/. The buyer says "NO", it didn't arrive on time, or doesn't leave feedback, and
3/. There is no delivery scan by USPS, which happens regularly.
eBay holding Sellers to higher standards than USPS can deliver is ridiculous. We have NO protection from USPS !

All true! And stop to think how much extra income ebay is collecting from sellers due to the postal increases!! Our FVF includes shipping, which we're paying more for, and ebay is just raking in the cash.
Increasing listing prices and/or shipping charges to cover all these fees is leaving unhappy, non-purchasing customers.
And to top it off, multiple buyers come back and accuse sellers of overcharging on the shipping.
