I posted earlier about a buyer making a false claim on a 10k ring we sold them a few days ago. This same buyer has an open return request for a the item and we discover they have this item now for sale on Mercari using our photos from ebay. I stumbled upon it today. Same customer, has her name on the Mercari account same ring. This person has a total of 10 purchases on ebay and 3 sells on Mercari, a newbie infrequent buyer (scammer) and seller on both websites. The customer was reported to ebay for their false claim and we sent a screenshot of the item for sale on the message system here to the buyer. We also warned the buyer that they better send us back what we sent. Unbelievable what these scammers will do on here. We congratulated, LOL! THE BUYER FOR HER 300 PERCENT MARKUP ON THE ITEM. WE SOLD IT TO HER FOR LIKE 220.00. SHE HAS IT UP FOR SALE FOR 480.00 ON MERCARI. The item is fairly rare so IMPOSSIBLE for this to be another ring this person has to sell OTHER than what we sent them.

A lot of buyers who buy something on eBay think they are buying from a large corporation and not mainly small amateur or hobby sellers. 😮
A lot of them, yes. But THIS one is also a seller on both eBay and Mercari. She knows she's shafting someone just like herself.

I am on the internet all day it’s two jobs this one and another one. I look at price comparisons for our items all over the web to get the prices competitive and happened to be searching what folks on Mercari were selling stuff for and LO AND BEHOLD there is The item with our pictures and the same name as the seller that was the buyer of the item.

Lab created opal and blue topaz about a 3 grammer but a specialty handmade item. Yes, we get good prices on Ebay for our offerings. That’s why I have been dedicated 100 percent to this website and have been for over 15 years. BTW, just got a customer who emailed on the message system thanking me and was so grateful for getting a ring we sold them a few days ago. I get so many of these wonderful buyers on here and always they remind me that people like this one are rare specimens.

People are tending to WAY over value their gold items all over the internet at this time because gold has reached skyrocket highs. Unfortunately though many who outrageously price NEVER SELL A DARN THING. We know where to put the price to get it sold. My friend did not.

Thanks. Will do.

100 percent refund ring comes back good shape. Say BYE BYE to the buyer by block which I already have done. Nothing comes back—not sure yet, have to think about that one, Damaged comes back, again thinking cap before action, because the ole chargeback could happen. What a dilemma. Probably best to refund no matter what. Thank my lucky stars for all the wonderful customers on here who will absolutely recoup my money very soon.

Opal is my favorite; I don't care how it gets created, lol.
Not sure whether you blocked this buyer before or after emailing to call them out, but the "haven't heard a peep" from them is possibly because you blocked them. More likely she is just embarrassed and maybe a little scared (I hope so), but in case you didn't know, eBay changed the setting a while back, to where buyers on your BBL cannot even email you. Or rather .... they can, and they get no notification that their message will not be read, so if this one tried to reply with excuses she might think you've read them but ignored them, so a negative feedback or other retaliatory act could be coming. It was a very foolish and inexplicable move on eBay's part, @wastingtime101 has a running thread on it. To be clear, the email block only applies to buyers on your BBL, not buyers blocked by your settings for unpaid item strikes.

Is the account you sold this under TRS? If the item does come back in anything except the same condition it was when you sent it, as you know you can give a partial refund respective to how much damage has happened.
If you give a partial refund, if the buyer appeals that on Ebay, you would have protection against having to fulling refund the buyer [if you are TRS], Ebay may decide to give them the balance, but it would be out of Ebay funds. So there would be no need for the buyer to go to a Chargeback. But lets just say this nut does that. I would insist that Ebay follow through on your seller protection and cover the refund if that is the decision of the CCC.
The best outcome would be they just don't return the item and the Claim times out.

I plan on calling and getting any negative feedback removed if this happens. This has got to qualify for that.

Yes, I may venture to do this as Ebay may have my back on this one for sure.

Just in case some reading this may not know, of course to qualify for the limited partial refund protection a TRS must also offer at least a 30 day return policy. Also sellers that offer free returns qualify.

Not to mention the buyer filing the false SNAD likely prompted the OP to sniff around. Had the buyer just filed the return AFTER the failed attempt of selling it at Mercari in 29 days, the OP never would have seen all the shenanigans.

Coincidentally I was just arguing with a concierge agent about this yesterday. She was already in an iffy aggressive mood though, mentioned in a post I made. But it was interesting how she first denied this issue when I said I better remove my buyer from my BBL in order to get their replies from me reaching out to them. She replied to just uncheck the “don’t allow blocked buyers to contact me” and I told her of an long time ongoing issue about that function being broken.
She said she hasn’t heard about that issue at all and that I must be mistaken saying maybe the buyer doesn’t want to reply to you. I mentioned I’ve literally tested and recreated the problem with my multiple accounts. She dismissed me by saying but if I see the problem just report it to eBay and tell fix it right away… HA! I told her there’s been a bunch of talk already about this in the forums to no avail. It’s interesting that it’s possible the only acknowledgment of this issue is probably here in the boards, and I guess who ever Devon relayed this info to. You’d think CS depts should get wind of it too but I guess not.

Lol think again buddy. Come back here if you did receive a negative and report your efforts on trying to get it removed. Nowadays the most common sense removals can easily get denied. I have come to not rely on eBay’s feedback violation protection removal system.
You might have that seller feedback coverage when you refund a buyer thru a return or if the buyer fails to return the item thru that. So at least there’s that advantage to having your false SNAD.

Without knowing what the buyer is going to say IF they leave negative FB, it is impossible to tell if it would be removable for cause.
