Welcome to our first engagement post of 2021! We plan to post a fun off-topic thread every two weeks so we can learn more about one another. After two weeks, we’ll post a new fun topic.
Our first topic is pets (how could it be anything else?) 😀 We know we have a lot of avid pet owners and it certainly brightens our days to see you share stories and pictures about them.
This is your chance to tell us all about your pets’ quirks, personalities and most importantly, sharing lots of pictures. We want to see those cute little faces.
As always please keep the conversation on topic and be respectful of each other. This thread will remain open from 1.29.2020 to 2.11.2021.

Good Saturday Morning Ya’ll ...
Sally, our rescued Dorkie.
Top photo - camping out in Lake Grenada
Bottom photo - Before and After Grooming during the Lockdown.
It will be almost 2 years since we brought her home from the rescue center. Vet at the center gauged her to be around 6 months. They found her tied to a post as bait for big dogs. Weighed about 5 lbs.
Todate, Sally is a healthy 9 lbs, loving girl ... We’re so lucky to have her .... pure love and joy!

Poppy and Greyson - my "family."

Look at those lazy babies! Just precious!

Poppy looks like he could cause some trouble!!!! What cute names! Did you watch the Puppy bowl yesterday?

Poppy is sweet to her core. She is full of joy and positive energy. Just watching her makes me happy. Greyson knows he's beautiful. He's vain, lazy, and when it suits him, loving. Missed the Puppy bowl - darn.

Group photo from class this morning. Enjoyed a visit to a local coffee shop to work on our "out in public skills". Chloe and I both did well out in public lol
Note: My Chloe is the dog on the right against the wall.
@mcdougle4248 I was going to make a joke about this being the right amount of dogs to have. 😂 They are so well-behaved!

This is Oswin. Her 8th birthday was yesterday. She is super smart (evil genius smart) and has a lot of the behaviors of a small child. In the morning, she hops on the bathmat like the floor is lava. She likes to be held like a small child (on your hip) and she understands directions (even dumb ones like 'Go the other way').
Question: Are you spending more time at home? If so, how is your pet taking it? Mine is 100% more clingy than before 🤣

We lost our beloved JB this past Thursday. $2000 to our vet of 20+ years, while trying to communicate via phone from the parking lot since December 1st. $70 to a cat specialist who stood masked face to masked face with us on Jan 29th to tell use the ultrasound she was performing made her suspect kidney cancer. When it became clear on Feb 4th that we needed to let him go, she took us right in, cried with us, comforted us, and wouldn't take a dime for euthanizing him or cremating and scattering his ashes. Our remaining cat, Mocha, and the new kitty who comes into our lives after our mourning period, will be Dr. Son's patients for as long as we stay in this area.
