Well, the jig is up.

Ebay wins.

Classic View is no more.

My 5 minutes of fame (hopefully not fortune) have come to an end.

Thank you for all the praise and flattery! I fiddled with the links out of my own frustrations and was more than happy to share with all. Honestly, anyone could have done it.

But this 1 woman show cannot compete with Ebay Big Tech.

It is their playground. We play by their rules or we don't play at all.

And I, for one, am still in the game.

So many people say they are quitting because of this change. I think what a petty thing to quit for. The question is can you make money, that is the only reason we do this. It is yes or no. There are a lot of things I don't like. The page change did not change that I still make money on here, nor did the Managed payments and neither did the very high not as described issue. All of it made me adjust and I'm alive and doing well.

Good for you both, I remember forward-motion you were very concerned at one point, and yet you pushed through - I think it was you who said you didn't want to be left behind so you caught up.

Much admiration for you, and if like me, you struggled with it, occasionally screamed and pulled out hair and still beat it, then Go Us

modified - It was always going to be band aid fix, but you helped a lot of people when they needed it most and hopefully they will now be as resilient and get on board so they will still be in the game.

Ya done good! Your links gave me the time I needed to figure out a solution that would work for me going forward, since I knew it wouldn't be long before eBay figured out that someone was telling us how to use the site the way we wanted to, rather than how they want us to.

Don't give up the fight. Keep posting on this forum. Maybe someone will hear us and bring it back. If you list less items and buy less items it might add up if a bunch of people do it.

Listing LESS items, leaving, boycotting, crying, whining all fall on Ebay's deaf ears and does NOTHING for my bottom line.$$$

We knew this was coming.

We knew managed payments was coming.

We are creatures of habit, but learn to adjust.

I have been here for 20+ years (yes the Money Order days)

Ebay has been VERY good to me. There is no alternative platform to peddle my wares with the same visibility, traffic and yes, seller protection than here.

I will continue to sell here and adapt

(Even though CLASSIC VIEW was sooooo purdy!)

Good to hear!! I am like you, 20 years. We have learned how adapt and go. I guess for me I'm amazed at people saying they are quitting because of it. I still listen to music but not on 8 track.

I have also been buying and selling since money orders back in the days when eBay was king and had it all, not "the river" who ate their lunch.

Over all those years we have become conditioned to expect all the "NEW" changes to be bad.......and come to think of it I can't think of one NEW change since 2004 that has improved anything.

They need to teach courses in college on how not to screw with something that is working. It seems like all websites get improved to death. I suppose people need to justify their jobs.

So you listen music now on phonautograph? Because you seem to like the idea of going back, not forward. What this new ebay view is compared to the old ebay view, that's what phonautograph is compared to 8-track.

Oh no, we just bought an 8-track player today. I can adapt to most things, and after whining loudly, I'm using it since I have no other choice. I truly believe my husband and I aren't working as hard now on our listings, and yesterday, he told me he wasn't looking at his any longer to tweak or adjust pricing. It's like they are invisible now.
